Alright, where do I start, what I thought was a 10 out of 10 is actually like a 42 out of 10. The marketing for this was genius with the unlocks completely unknown, granted now the cats out of the bag. Was this worth 25 bucks? Well I put in like 94 hours in a week.

The infusions were replaced with equipment, love it. Steel shop upgrades were changed, what I thought was bad, is actually great. I actually use upgrades in the steel shop now on train stewards, like if you throw a regen and a +14 attack on a train steward for like 45 coins, that man will straight up wail on things. Dualism is actually a sweet upgrade. The magic shop changes are surprisingly great, the way you can now get -2 and remove consume on a spell, oh yeah, fantastic. The variety of combinations is absurd that you can get in terms of clan combos. The choices now are absolutely hard to make, do I hit a steel shop or do I go to the equipment shop? It's actually a hard choice now. MT1, I didn't always hunt magic shops, MT2, I find myself torn every time I see a choice of a shop. I like that you get banner units later as well, a most welcome change.

The new shrooms act as imps and they are absolutely brutal, I love it! The changes to the original 5 clans is simple enough to bring them in line with the new clans. I thought they'd suck, nope. Only one that needs work is sweet Tethys, he still sucks.

I had over 1k hours in MT1, this game will surpass that. So what will the expansion bring? Hopefully 1 new and 1 old clan.

The difficulty of the game is where it should be. I win a lot, but I played a lot before and I have a good grasp. I watch people playing on streams and they are getting throw into the trash, it makes me smile knowing that the game is actually a good play. Monster Train is my favorite series of a game from any Indie developer. It scratches the puzzle, card game, beat things with big numbers, and just burning my brain enough.

Anyways, buy the game. If it's not on sale and you have to pay 25 bucks, you'll still think you're stealing it, it is that damn good.

I'm only about 20 hours in, but I find this much more enjoyable than most other TD's. My previous favorites have always been the Element ones, but I don't think I'll be playing it much anymore because I love the mazing in this. I wish that a few of the characters felt like they had a reason to be played, the armor and time guy I don't see being played much unless there is an achievement. It's early access, and for that, this game is very polished. I am looking forward to any new content.

What would I like to see in the future? Of course I'd like to see the stuff that says future patches. I'd like to see the talent tree flushed out even more, it maxes out quickly. I would like to see something along the lines of a difficulty bump that adds things to make it harder. Heroic was pretty easy if you know how to maze well. Something along the line of ascensions from Slay the Spire would be cool. I would also like to see more outlets for the red crystal shopping. I ended a run with 300 that I didn't get to spend.

I am playing the game in Chinese with English subtitles and it is so far, absolutely fantastic.

The game reminds me a little bit of Ghost of Tsushima with a mix of Dark Souls for boss combats (just a bit easier).

I am enjoying the story, the lore, and the art design of the game. The variety of enemies is refreshing as it's just not the same enemy with a different skin on it. The level up system is great and the fact that you can change it at save points is great.

I've encountered a few minor bugs like lighting issues, but nothing that couldn't be resolved by just moving forward a little.

I give the game a really solid 9 out of 10 and recommend to anyone who likes games like Farcry / Tomb Raider / Sekiro / Souls / Ghost of Tsushima.

This isn't a game, it's an activity. You can't actually lose, you just keep retrying automatically...mindlessly. These idle "games" are a bad joke and just cater to people who require dopamine hits and can't stand losing.

This is an absolute 10. Easily this and Grim Dawn are my 2 favorite ARPGs of all time.

This game is fantastic. It is very easy to overanalyze things and sorta stare at the screen, but once you get the hang of it, your turns are super fast. The combos you can get if you hunt for certain dice are fantastic. I love the chance, rerolls, precision, converting, EUREKA!, you name it. There isn't a mechanic that just sucks, they all work.

Updated Review after 30 hours.

This game is a 10. For what it is, a low-cost puzzly, arena, tactical, rogue-like, arena game, you can't really find anything like it. It scratches the same itch as Monster Train, just does it in an excellent way. The multiplayer is actually amazing. I absolutely love playing with my friend. We were the Mosscloak and Weaver combination. He was positioning so I could dash through him and get extra shurikens, he was maneuvering the battlefield for me and setting up kills. The combinations we were making felt like we were cheating, much like Monster Train did when you had a run that went absolutely mad with power. This game has a scaling factor that just makes you feel like you are on the edge of losing for quite a while, then you hit a massive power spike and the game feels like you can obliterate things for a round or 2, then it gets hard again.

My only complaints of the game (if you can even call it a complaint in Early Access), is that a few of the "new" bindings that you can acquire are low impact in comparison to others. Teleport is bonkers and Jinx is not. I'd also like to see Cleave not have an absurd 8 cooldown.

I can't believe how good and polished of a game this already is and it's barely into Early Access. I bought the game and the Season Pass because I want to see this game get developed.

Overall, it's a really good game, it's just not for me.

I feel that that too many runs are completely random beyond belief. There are too many cards that are just not good and not worth taking. I felt that the runs I did win were extremely easy and the runs I lost was a complete blowout. That difference between the two lead to me not enjoying it, but I see where many other people would love that. Me and RNG aren't a thing.
