WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!

If you love the 2D handheld Castlevania games, you'll love this one. Definitely feels like the Sorrow series (Aria & Dawn) with some crafting components added. Masterminded IGA, same dude who has been involved with all 2D Castlevania's since Rondo of Blood (aka Dracula X). Some early bugs have been smoothed out. Maybe I'm biased since I backed it on Kickstarter, but I love this game.

This game has been a buggy mess since it left "Early Access." A few interesting features added, and familiar characters, but at times the game is unplayable (for an idle game anyway). The only way my party can proceed is if I go close the app and let it run offline. Every time I close this game, I have to verify local files so it can re-download whatever files it "lost" during run time (averages between 10 - 80 depending on how long game was running, highest was 200+). Free chest codes on the Fandom page is nice, but the RNG loot drop rarely gives you anything good aside from contracts for farming event drops. I still play regularly, and will continue to, but WAY too many bugs and crashes.

As a backer of the Original Kickstarter, I've been waiting for this one for a while. So far I have not been disappointed. The warp mechanic takes a little getting used to at first. The levels are fun and scratch my itch for shmups. Jack is Back!

Basically, same game engine ported to 64-bit compatibi;ity. Visually, the same effects were attainable in LE, but apparently has a more powerful creation kit for modding. Most of your old mods will work and/or have been updated already. If you previously only played the console edition, then go ahead and get this one, otherwise, you probably already own this anyway.
