A tentative thumbs up, ISLANDERS: New Shores now the definitive version of ISLANDERS but it succeeds more as a game than it does as a sequel. If you haven't played ISLANDERS before then I can recommend it for the fairly cheap price. If you were like me and hoping for an evolution of the original ISLANDERS then this aint it chief.

A bite sized strategy title that tries a novel idea and executes it well. More short innovative games please!

I am neither a car guy nor a vibes guy...

So when I tell you this car vibes survival game is one of my favourite experiences of the past year I need you to believe it. My one big complaint (as well as many other peoples'), the save system, has now been fixed in an update so can't even complain. I finished the game and still took the remnant out on a few more drives around the beautiful, radioactive, deadly anomaly filled Pacific Northwest as I scrounged for more scraps.

It's a bond some might consider paranormal....

A charming and unique roguelite. Solid gameplay loop where you always feel like you are a few turns away from defeat with a slightly weaker deckbuilding element which still manages to have a lot of strategies for such a small scope.

If movies have "Speed", gaming has Greylock Studio. Imagine making Severed Steel, a high flying acrobatic fast paced shooter and thinking "You know what was missing?" EVEN MORE PACE. If jetboard gun battles don't sound like fun to you then you might need to reevaluate your priorities, for the rest of us this game delivers a fantastic experience. What seems jank at first fastly evolves into an adrenaline rush of non stop movement and bullets.

I realised I hadn't left a review for one of my favourites so I am fixing that.

This game is almost flawless to my mind. An innovative genre spin with boatloads of content and difficulty levels for all, whether you want a chill woodland creature city builder or a merciless colony survival experience. The different recipe paths and events constantly force you to make engaging decisions on what is best for you current settlement and you get a great feeling when your economy finally pops off and your win condition is in sight.

Peak game design and addictive gameplay cement this as a top 5 of all time for me.

"It costs about the same as your morning coffee, with only one of those two options allowing me to rip the horn off a unicorn or encounter a cosplaying fairy.

The one occasion it's medically acceptable for an erection to last over 4 hours is after completing I Am Your Beast.

Fantastic Game.

This game has no right to be as good as it is. If you get past the barrier of understanding what stuff actually does and deal with a repetitive early game, it's just phenomenal. Each character might not have many individual skills but when you are making a party of 4... out of 20! There is plenty of variation. Before we even get relics and equipment into the mix.

Dead Cells and Hades had a drunken love child and that kid immediately hit some drugs. Phenomenal game that has gone too far under the radar. Thank you Humble Bundle for bringing it to my attention.

The strongest recommendation I can give is that I purchased the DLC just to show support.
