It tries to combine beat em' up's with fighting game which sounds great on paper, but way it's executed here doesn't really work for me. Looks great, but here was my experience:
* Easily get through Beat em up stage and get through to boss with no real skill
* Get to a boss and die die die until I usually win by luck.
* Wash rinse repeat until I rage uninstalled.

I had to grind through training mode to really figure out how to handle boss battles by learning a move set when that should really be what the level is for. Might be alright for fighting game folks, but if you are looking for a fun beat em up like the original Streets of Rage or Turtles in Time, stay away - this will just make you angry.

Lot's of interesting twists and turns and great card game in every act. I really like that it introduces a lot of rules and revisits them later in the game. Just a great twist on virtual card game that is enjoyable the whole way through!

Octodad meets The Thing.

For a game where you play as a giant meat octopus, it controls very intuitively. Maybe a hint at the next stage of human evolution?

A fast paced horror themed metroidvania: if that sounds like something you'd be into, you won't be disappointed.

Only a couple hours in and already too many amazing improvements to name, but Doom Eternal really takes the dive in and kill mechanic to the next level.

* Pistol removed, shotgun new starting weapon
* Chainsaw recharges 1 notch, so you use it a lot more for ammo recharge
* Level design is amazing, they really take advantage of all the jump and movement tweaks. It feel like your on a murder race track flying around each encounter. And the levels just look cool as hell, they really went above and beyond with making Earth look totally eff'd.
* Does a great job teasing secrets without completely making them trivial to obtain

They really focused on good game feel, no boring trailing missions or stupid fetch quests here. The whole thing is the good part. Well maybe could do without the wall climbing, but other than that, just grade A beef for an FPS - a genre which has seen little innovation on mechanics... until Doom came along.

I love the concept, but it gets extremely repetitive quickly. Also bosses are disproportionately harder than anything so you'll master the level then then spend most of your time fighting bosses that you have no idea what to do with.

I thought I had played this to death years ago, but it looks like the good folks of Re-Logic have kept chugging away with updates and now it's pretty much a new game with all the content that has been added. Lots of new bosses and items, lots of quality of life improvements (two big ones quick stack, ctrl mode for digging tunnels and holes), and lots of time that I will spend discovering it all.

If it's been a while since you played, it's time to hop back in and marvel at all the amazing updates brought to you for FREE by Re-Logic. Thanks for not leaving this game in the dust <3

GTA V and GTA Online are like two completely separate amazing AAA games in one. If you've 100%'d the campaign, there is still so much to do online. Online has such an active community even 6 years after it's initial release.

Starts out really hard, perhaps too hard. You'll die a lot, but something brings you back. You'll start unlocking more and more and getting further and further. Then you'll find out what weapons are OP and whoop the games butt, but then there is still more. There is mertric sh*t tons of secrets that keep you coming back long after your first clear.

Highly recommend and if you've stopped playing because it got too hard, give it another shot (also updates have made it a lot more reliable to get through - Rainbow runs are awesome <3)

Early Access Review
Going from 2D to 3D is a very hard thing to do successfully, but Risk of Rain 2 pulls it off. A great challenging co-op game with tons of secrets to uncover and challenge based unlockables to keep that feeling of progression when you just keep dying over and over.

My biggest gripe was not being able to find the teleporter, but they've addressed that already in a patch by increasing the particle effect that happens when you are near. It's always a good sign for early access where a developer listens to feedback and is able to rapidly put out a fix.
