This was my first time playing a FromSoftware game on my own, and my third souls-like game, but it quickly became one of my favorite games of all time. It's pretty difficult, despite it's simplicity, and it took me a lot of time to feel comfortable at a mechanical level, but it never once felt unfair. The combat is extremely satisfying once it clicks. The boss fights are all very readable and well choreographed. The game really rewards you for picking up on subtle visual and audio hints. The level design is also gorgeous and well executed, with each area of the map feeling unique and memorable, as well as full of secrets to uncover. It's got a great sound track that perfectly vibes with the atmosphere of the game.

At the time of writing this, I'm on my third playthrough of four required to get all achievements, and have been entertained throughout the entire journey. This is a perfect game. It's worth it's weight in gold. PLAY IT!!!!
