A very fun incremental game which will take only one hour of your time to 100%
I hope the dev continues with the same formula but with more chapters; longer game.

Short and sweet, a very great example of incremental game to get someone into the genre.

A surprising delight I never expected to encounter.
Wish the best of luck to the developer :D

I played this game in 2015 and 2017.
It was a fun lil game which I played like I play Vampire Survivors today.
Jump in play for half an hour, do few maps and go about my day.

Installed it again seeing that it got a 2.0 update.
My character is gone, I am unable to log in to European server (infinite loading / web works).
Almost broke my headset in order to protect my hearing because if you press Load from Steam Cloud the game suddenly becomes unbearably loud.
Hundred times louder then when it is maxed out in audio options.

When you go to options - audio it becomes normal.
But dear God please fix that issue, it only occurs with old cloud saves from (I guess) 2017 or later.
You can imagine how loud it is if your instinctive reaction is to throw your headset off your head instantly.
I tested how loud it was with a friend and it went beyond 120dB. Absolutely atrocious.

Even in 2017 the game developer had some, well let's say unwelcoming business models and practices.
Now in 2023 it went full on EA, you open your inventory and ooo look you can buy extra inventory space for almost 5€.
Really great start.

All in all can't recommend it, current online issues and predatory business model are just a no go for me.

This game is really charming.
Art style is great, the music really kicks up the atmosphere of the Slavic tradition, none the less the decision for my recommendation was hard to make.

TL;DR:
It’s a charming novel which follows a Slavic king and his family in uneasy times. As such I would recommend it, as a kingdom management RPG I CAN NOT RECOMMEND THE GAME.

It takes about 8 hours to finish the first playthrough and then hour or two to get all the achievements. So the question is it worth the full price you can answer for yourself.

I can and I am recommending the game if you desire to play a tale of a Slavic king who's campaign lasts some 7 and half hours.
It is a cute light novel with SOFT elements from other game genres like strategy, point and click adventures and RPG story mechanics.

BUT, and this is a really big BUT, if you are going for a kingdom management RPG as the game is portraying itself then I do NOT RECOMMEND the game.
For a kingdom management game it is just too small in it’s scope to fill those shoes, the decisions and resources you have to manage are trivial to say the least. Replayability is merely for achievement sake, you'll just be clicking through since all the weeks are the exact same people.

At no point did I feel pressured nor did I think that my decision would be impactful on my kingdom management. Story wise your decisions do affect specific outcomes that change the smaller character story outcomes, as for the bigger ones it is a pretty linear path to success.

I had no bugs nor technical problems during my play through, my only worry was not being able to limit FPS without V-Sync ON. Was unnecessary for the game to run at 300-400 FPS range.

The big positives of this game are it's story with it's comedy that is a parody on the DnD subculture. The game world and the characters in it are very well designed to suit the comedy as well as their interactions.

This is why I can definitely recommend watching a playthrough of the game to enjoy those elements.

As for my negative review it's because of the purely linear game that is coupled with tedious fights which will lead you to try and avoid them. Sadly this is not possible because of the linear system which governs this game. The combat actions might give RNG based results but everything else is drowned in restrictive linear game build and design.

Your in game choices don't matter, often leading towards a bit of a different reward and a definite different punchline for a joke which adapts to your chosen choice. Talent trees are small, often only difference being between higher damage or lower damage but inflicts status effect.

This is further restricted by a points system which doesn't allow you to upgrade or use skills unless you spend a certain amount of those limited points, while it might seem normal to use it due to the small size of the trees you have very limited build variation.

Often you'll find taking an ability which is useless to you or at best has very narrow utility that you will rarely use unless x conditions are met.

Build variations is further limited by linear gear drops which always happen at the same time and drop the same gear. Gear choices are often minimal mainly depending on their class, meaning Barbarian for example will have a choice to wear a damage increasing gear or defence/protection based gear. Restrictions are taken to extreme further due to a very small item pool that gets divided by class restriction and equipment slot (chest, feet, head etc.).

Everything I mentioned so far leads to a tedious combat that can last for a long period depending on your RNG rolls. For example an enemy can dodge and parry your combat rolls while your character can have a critical fail or a simple miss.

Most fights will turn into a simple crowd control through status effects on enemies while your gang manages healing and damage dealing. Position is rarely effective except for start buffs and conditional ability usage (Troll can throw Dwarf only if they are close to each other) because you will always start surrounded and zone restricted to a minimal field in which you can position your characters.

If you play blue control MTG decks you will love this playstyle because the board stays mostly the same while you incapacitate the enemy to make any kind of moves.

If the game had more impactful choices with less all covering linear logic I would definitely recommend it, but until that changes my review will stay negative.

Great game to chill and kill some time.
Amazing game loop and extremely simple concept that just keeps on giving.

Gunfire Reborn is a cute and simple game in which you can easily get lost for an hour or two with your mates or pubs. The visual style is simple yet charming, capturing the atmosphere better than most current AAA titles.
Community is fair, helpful and welcoming. Recent attention too the game has made the devs even more active, giving us new levels and other game content.

At first it might seem like a repetitive game but which game isn't to be honest.
The fun that this game provides with it's challenges which bring a lot of unique and funny moments is kinda nostalgic of the old shooter games that weren't clogged full of cosmetics, micro transactions or gambling mechanics.

As a final word, if you are looking for a fun little game to kill one or two hours of your day in Gunfire Reborn you'll find a cute stylized FPS that offers fun mechanics with a decent challenge level for everyone.
Enjoy, have a great day and big thanks to the devs <3

Slay the spire is a simple but deep game, with which you can "loose" a lot of hours.
It's a fun challenging game, for me it's especially great to play on the job when there are no customers since I have no timer and I can easily walk away from the screen without worrying about pausing or losing.

I recommend to buy it if it's on sale.

The game has an interesting style, fun gameplay and challenging mechanics that are easy to get a hang off but hard to master.

Community is active as are the devs, so there is a bright future for this game and it's players.
If there was a co-op option this would be the best game to play with your m8 on the couch while relaxing.

EDIT 2021:

It only got better ;)

SAY CLEAR AND DON'T INVEST ANYTHING IN THIS GAME

This game was amazing in the beginning.
It brought a fresh gust of wind to the battleroyale genre.

I even switched from PUBG and Fortnite to Realm Royale and it was amazingly fun.
Game pushed you to be aggressive and rewarded you handsomely for being skilled.

But now, with all the money grabbing, unnecessary balance tweaks and plain out ignore of community wishes.
Well I can't recommend it any longer.

Hi-Rez Studios managed to ♥♥♥♥ up an awesome idea and concept again and this time it took them less than half a year to remove everything that made this game unique and fun from the rest of battleroyale games.
