Would've given a positive review, but tbh it's hardly a remaster - afaik the whole remastered trilogy is more of a political "Russia bad, support Ukraine" statement done by poorly removing Russian dub, some of map elements, and changing few names from Russian writing to Ukrainian one (e.g. Pripyat -> Prypiat).

In addition, this release seems to randomly freeze almost whole system when reloading a save (might be caused by mods, but I'm not 100% certain on that). Also, it seems the game is very allergic to NVidia driver ver. 576.52 - I updated the driver few moments ago and the game started randomly freezing and CTD-ing.

Instead I'm gonna leave a tip for how to quickly delete saves from cloud since at the end of game you'll probably get around 1k savefiles and devs didn't bother to implement a "Delete all saves" button in this edition.

1. Run game with cloud sync on.
2. Open "%USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\STALKER Call of Prypiat - EE\STEAM\savedgames" and delete all files in the folder.
3. Let Steam sync the save files with cloud and disable cloud saving once it's done syncing.

First you change EULA to pretty much spy on people and now you give the game for free in some funny attempt to bury it (and/or Randy's genius claim that "true fans will always pay the full price for a game"?).

Lol, no. The fall of AAA game development branch can't come soon enough.

In addition, this release seems to bug out whenever you try to buy/equip exoskeleton (at least that's the issue in Agroprom area - might be caused by mods, but no idea which ones).

An interesting spin on classic formula of boomer shooters.

Game booted up once after downloading, after that it won't start at all. Apparently the only fix is either downloading it from scratch or factory resetting PC. Cool.

Is it a Doom 2 mod? Yes.
Is it a paid one? Yes.
Is it worth it? Hell yes.

TL;DR if you enjoyed other team based shooters, you'll probably like this one too - just beware of scummy developer slapping its players in the face repeatedly.

Before you skip this review as another TF2 player hating on its competitor - I bought the original OW back in 2017 and spent quite a lot of time playing it (110-odd profile levels, you do the math how many hours is that).

Was it enjoyable back then? Yes.

Is it enjoyable now? No. Hell, I'll even admit that I didn't play OW2 and still feel ripped of by Blizzard. I want my money for buying first OW back.

After watching all the crap fest and dramas surrounding the brand and this "sequel" (attempts to make OW the next big multiplayer shooter since CS, renaming McCree to whatever he's currently named as well as switching one of his sprays because some black NASCAR racer got scared of a garage door handle, forcing everyone from OW to switch OW2, reducing team size to 5 players because "muh imbalanced 2 assault-2 tank-2 support teams are too strong", promising PvE mode and later dropping it entirely, predatory microtransactions, pandering to the alphabet people more than focusing on gameplay balance, the infamous diversity measurement tool, etc.) I cannot give a positive remark on this title appearing on Steam.

It's a shooter, who cares if Tracer is lesbian, Reaper is gay, and Echo identifies as assault chopper? What value it gives to gameplay? Those are just dumb attempts at staying relevant. At best the game will flop spectacularly (as of now, 11th August 2023, only 13% of over 30k reviews are positive) and fall off the grid very soon.

If you want to give it a shot, go ahead - you'll most likely meet the usual cast of chill and toxic players you can find anywhere else. But don't expect the dev will listen to the player base's suggestions in the future.

Subscription this, subscription that, subscription everything. I'd love to give it a second chance (since I like both KotOR games), but the crappy WoW mechanics, bugs during start-up, and invasive subscription shill are a big no-no. Avoid this game.
