This game UI is a travesty of design, but I'm so glad the game exists. It's what indie games are all about. I will never play it because the UI is that bad, but still super glad it exists.

I have finally come to grips with the UI and this is the most sandboxy sandbox that ever sandboxed.

This ♥♥♥♥ should have been delisted over 5 years ago.

Kojima should just make a movie already.

So I obviously enjoyed the game enough to play 100 hours, but I also hated a bunch of things about it.
The music was really bad, and Kojima knows this because there isn't a volume slider for music, because everybody would turn it off. The vehicles are, not the worst physics I've ever seen in a video game, but possibly the weirdest. Cars that move like boats, and I don't just mean because it's rear wheel drive, it feels like a boat, not a car. Vehicles get stuck on every rock possible, and they do this weird thing where they like build up momentum while they are stuck, so when they become unstuck they kind of shoot off, which can be really difficult to control in snow covered mountains.
The vast majority of the gameplay literally consists of taking items from location A to location B, intercut with a bunch of insanely well done cutscenes, and a couple questionable ones.
The game also has combat in it, for some reason? Like they felt they had to put it in, but it really just feels annoying and out of place. It wasn't ever difficult, it just felt like busy work, time consuming and annoying crap I had to get through to get to what I wanted to do, which was bring this guy some of the last issues of Famitsu in existence.
All that being said I did enjoy smoking roughly a 1/4 ounce of marijuana over the time it took to beat this game and just enjoying the chill zenlike delivery experience. I cannot in good faith recommend it to anybody though.
Let's look at the achievements to see why. 90.9% of the people who bought the game beat the tutorial. 81.3% who bought it beat the first episode. Then it drops to 46.0% of people who bought it beat the second episode. There are 12 more episodes go to totalling 14 in all, which only 18.9% of people who bought the game on steam got to. Less than 20% of the people who bought this game make it to the end. Just watch a compilation of all the cutscenes. And somebody in Hollywood give Kojima a movie already, dang.

I hate this game, so I don't play it.

If you like beat em ups, this game is fun. If you don't like beat em ups, you probably got beat up. Sorry.
