One of the few survival games I enjoy base building in. The combat is tough but fair. The grind is real though. Change some stuff to 3x gather for like materials and enjoy the fun parts. Otherwise I hope you like grind cause we put grind in your grind so you can grind while you grind.

2025 update So they revamped the difficulty curve and it's much easier starting off now, almost too easy, like it doesn't prepare you for the horrors to come. Also they made gathering much better. I only had to set material rate to 1.5x and stack size to 2x and it feels perfect, instead of the 3x they were set at back in 2024.

Idle clicker that is great. Not sure what else needs to be said. If you like idle clicker style games check it out. If not, don't.

Is this is the level of game that PS5 exclusives have and they are still beating Microsoft in the console wars, Microsoft must be superbly bad at their job. Also for a game called Spider-Man, why am I spending so much time as Peter Parker and holy ♥♥♥♥ Mary Jane?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Are you serious right now Insomniac? How do you screw something so simple up like this? I got this free as a gift, but I feel bad they paid 35$ for this. It isn't worth that and it is no where near the 60$ normal asking price, that's just a rip off plain and simple.

First 90 minutes are a complete snore fest. Boring dialogue, boring driving, boring combat. You can cram as much stuff in your game as you want, but being mediocre at all of it is just, well, boring. Amazingly good performance, literally the only impressive bit is how well it seems to run. CD Projekt Red has consistently gotten worse with every game they release. Witcher 1 was by far the high point of this dev house and demonstrably worse with each game since.

I'm pretty sure I understand the metaphor this is going for. Every time you put pineapple on pizza, you are killing us all slowly. So stop doing that please.

It's a puzzle game not a "tactical combat game". If you like trying to find the exact way the developers want you to beat a mission, this is the game for you. If you know what "tactical" means hard pass. All the people comparing it to Xcom are factually stupid. Check achievement uptake 90% of reviews positive but 76% of players never even beat the game. Vast majority stop a few hours in.
