One of the best story-based FPS games I've played. It is worth at least one playthrough from anyone, even casual gamers, for the storyline alone in my opinion.

A very atmospheric game set in the metro tunnels of Moscow. If you ever played STALKER, you will be able to see the inspirations from the STALKER series in the Metro series. Bullets are used as currency-- pre-war bullets are of great value but also do greater damage for when you're in a tough situation. Bullets crafted in the Metro double as your ammunition and secondary currency, while pre-war bullets are your main currency and secondary ammunition.

That alone changes the flow of the game. If you run out of money, you're also out of ammo or the other way around. Your playstyle throughout the game determines the outcome.

Falls somewhere between Call of Duty lolshooting and Rainbow Six tactical planning on a larger scale. This is a great game, especially at the discounted price it's usually at now.

Such a great puzzle game, with a funny story along with it. Recommended, and go ahead and do yourself a favor by buying the second one too.

It was fun for a while. Then you realize that's its just as much a grind as the first game (debatable, I'll admit...but the first game was of higher quality because it was so unique), and it loses a bit of its appeal. You'll continue playing it for a while to unlock all the cool guns, perks, and so on. Then you realize how unpolished the game is and how much the developers really hyped up the game without really delivering much. They promised so much more from safehouse customization to a larger variety of heists, and it's just not there. Now they're adding what they previously said would come with the game as purchasable DLC.

Buy it if it's on sale or just wait for the edition that includes all the DLC. Then it might be worth it. Otherwise, I spent 30 bucks on this game and put 45 hours into it-- at least half of which was spent grinding to get a certain gun or perk I wanted (or avoiding jewelry store grinders) and the other half was spent waiting for a different heist to show up on the horribly inefficient CRIMENET.
