Early Access Review
The gameplay is fun, which is why I decided it was actually important to make a review. But, the direction of the GAME has issues that the developer needs to take a serious look at, if the game is going to stay alive and bring in new players. I want to break down some things about the game direction that I think should be changed or looked at in my humble opinion.

Theme: This game copies homework hard from Sound Voltex, which is fine to do for GAMEPLAY. But to copy the visual style of SDVX down to the design of the backgrounds in songs, the colors of the default skin, and the menu design, I think is a detriment to the game, casual fans time and time again have shown that visual style is so important. I mean look at the success of games like FNF, ADOFAI, Muse Dash, and HiFi Rush as proof that good gameplay and good style is important to attracting players. New casual rhythm gamers and but also convincing experienced rythym gamers that they should play this over Etterna, OSU, ITG, DJMax and other games that have a bigger community and competitive scene. I love the racing theme and I think the team should build on it. Perhaps a simulated race in the background where you can see your vehicle to other scores and perhaps a rival system could be added... All ideas ofc.

Scoring: There are 4 separate scoring systems in this game, Time, EX, Life, and Score. I mean like come on, the whole system is confusing with some scoring elements affecting whether you pass or fail a song, some contribute to medals but nothing else, and some are used for your leaderboard position. Make scoring simple and clear or prove to the player how each one is unique and important.

Visuals: I love all the effects put on the beatmap and SVs, lanes moving, parts of screen being covered. I honestly wish there was more of this. Make the game interesting to look at, crazy effects for doing well, audio dilation at points, and just make it interesting. I think if I wanted to just grind and play a game with a black background and notes coming down I would just play OSU Mania because that has working global leaderboards.

Controller: Obviously this is up to the team, but personally I think they should consider cutting the gyroscope mechanics. It seems like to me, the majority of players already use keyboard. If they were playing on controller likely they would be using auto gyro because the majority of PC players with controllers are using Xbox controllers with Xinput instead of DualShocks or Switch Pro Controllers. As it currently stands it doesn't seem to really work and just adds a new layer of confusion to the new player experience.

Arcade: This just needs work, it took me a long time to figure out that you had to play it to get new songs. I still don't understand the energy and EX system. Do the devs intend for this to be the primary mode for players to play?

I want to close by saying that the game is fun, which is why I am giving suggestions because I really like the game I just don't want it to die just because the team can't figure out what the game wants to be. Its fun, try it.
