TF2 community, we hear you! We love this game and know you do, too. We see how large this issue has become and are working to improve things.

A nice game that's short, sweet, and pretty addicting

The game is pretty fine. It isn't really stellar or anything, but I enjoyed playing it. My only real gripes are that it seems to be buggy (which is never going to get fixed anytime soon) and the final boss seems to have an unavoidable move which means you have to get lucky and hope they don't use it too much before you can defeat them. If you are looking to 100% the game, achievements are apparently broken without having to go into the save file to change around some settings.

Honestly, game's a 7/10. Humor isn't bad and the main game is fine. The lack of aerial attacks and the final boss' unavoidable attack are annoying, and the game has a few bugs that aren't game breaking, but it's an okay game.

Early Access Review
sad to see a game's rep get ruined by a ceo's weird obsession with a dying trend

I've waited long and hard just for a training mode, but guess what, HURR DURR SEASON PASS! ISN'T THAT WHAT EVERYONE WANTED?

Trust me, I don't really write reviews, and I never thought I was going to be making one. However, when I saw there was a 12 GB update, and people still complained of problems from Early Access, it makes you wonder if Bluehole/PUBGCorp/Whoeverisinchargeofthisgame actually takes the time to see what the community wants.

Do not buy this game if you're not willing to deal with the bugs and problems from this very well made, and optimised game.
  • You require a NASA Supercomputer to actually be able to render the houses before you're shot into a pulp, because nothing ever renders on time in this game.
  • Picking up weapons is actually a chore in this game. Sometimes it works, sometimes your character reaches down to grab nothing, it's really a great feature if you ask me
  • Terrain doesn't render properly sometimes, disappearing in the background. This would be fine if it was a small CS:GO Map or something, but this is a 16sqkm map with ~100 people. If my bullet hits invisible geometry, how much does that tell about a game?
  • Bluehole is a very Greedy company. I've seen many people say Valve is the most greedy company, but Bluehole takes the cake. They push out DLC, even though the game is debatably as bad as it was before the 1.0 Update. They also changed how getting free crates work. You gather BP, waste time and effort, and you get a paid crate. Why? Because they lowered the chances of getting FREE CRATES. Bravo! Great Community Outreach, Bluehole! You're giving what the community really want and need, microtransactions!
  • The tickrate on this game is a joke. As much as I hate it, Fortnite has a constant tickrate, albeit low, but you can actually kill someone in the beginning of the game. PUBG's joke 60 tick servers barely allows you to run at the beginning of the game, and actually dips down to the 20 tick range. I'd actually rather play COD, It's quick, fun, and I don't have to worry about my sprint or jump being canceled, or my shots not hitting because of crap servers. Most of the time, you won't know if you're lagging or the server is taking a poop.
  • Bluehole doesn't seem to actually check reported bugs, or even play test the map. Getting killed because of someone exploited inside of a giant rock in the middle of the desert isn't my kind of fun, but it seems like they also didn't take the time to polish their newest map, leaving in invisible walls, one way walls, and bullet-blocking leaves. (And more exploitable giant rocks.)
  • It's been a year and there's still no training map. Why does a game that is released as a parody have a training mode, compared to an all-serious, esports ready game, that has weapon recoil to be accounted for doesn't?
That's all I have. If you want more bugs or problems, check out the other reviews.
In this current state, don't buy the game, trick your friends into gifting you the game because, trust me, you'd regret buying it later.

Love the game! Has great sprite work, good artwork in between the loading times and I love just flying around whilst breathing fire and shooting fireballs! The game is simple with a well done soundtrack with a few great-great songs. Flying is hard to get used to, but you'll eventually know what places to fly from and when to glide. Currently I've only played 1 and a half hours and I look forward to clocking in more hours!

EDIT: Finished the game, and I have to say it was a fun one, but with a difficult boss. The boss was harder than any other boss I've fought in most games, and the fact that there are multiple ways to get to the end makes me want to play through it again just to save the green dragon.
