Rocksmith is awesoem, witha few provisos. It needs cldc mainly or you are severally limited and also to be honest I can't tell you how easy it would be for a beginner.

I can say however as an old man musician it kind of scratches the itch I have to play with outher without the hassle of leaving the house and finding them.

Couple of hundred hours in and I've enjoyed it all
