This ain't it.

It's such a Valve move that the most grossing game on Steam is in such a shoddy state as is. The last update received more support for skins and monetisation than actual features and proper content updates. The changelog for the rest of the update presents some minor bugfixes and map changes.

It's very disheartening to see updates like this for a game with such a legacy. You could argue that CS:GO was horrible on release which is very true but it's difficult to see how this game gets better in the coming years.

It's my conclusion that:
- The devs seem to be incredibly few in number for a game of this magnitude - inferred from the most recent update.
- The remaining devs are being hamstrung by management in order to push more skins/monetisation out the door, so they have even less time for implementing actual content.

Both of these points are just totally unacceptable for any game, nevermind one of this size (in playerbase). This is just pure speculation on my part but how would the devs ever implement meaningful change to this game when content additions are so minor?

I want to recommend this game, I really do. With the current state of everything and the future looking as hopeless as ever, I just cannot. I really hope I can return to this and give it the approval it deserves but Valve needs to take initiative. For the sake of the game.
