Not for casual players. Most of the fighters are not a part of the base game. The upgrade structure is very confusing. There does not seem to be a one click, buy all of the characters option. The game play is good but it is ungodly expensive to get all of the add-ons.

Nova Drift is a new age version of asteroids.

Neon Abyss is pretty cool especially if you are a more casual player. The game looks really good yet runs well on crappy out of date hardware. If you catch it on sale, you can not lose.

This is one of the most difficult games I've ever played. I thought the first level was hard, the second level is faster and more difficult. Definitely a must buy if you are looking for a challenge or if you love shoot 'em ups.

Sweet

If you can get down to the basics of the gameplay, this game is very enjoyable. My biggest issue is that I don't understand where they are going with the dlc's. The orentation of the game at this point is north to south while the orentation of the highway system is east to west. The up coming Arizona dlc is not going to change the orentation of the game enough to be worthwhile. Oregan, Washington and Idaho would have made much more sense, since I-5 is currently the main road and the focal point of travel in California and the west coast.

Nothing is perfect and neither is Pool Nation FX. This game is great but the community is horrible. Since the devs decided to introduce a "Lite" version to expand the community, there are 1000's of players now, sounds great right... No, its a nightmare, since winning is the only objective, 80% of the people I've played refuse to shoot a clean break and to me this makes the game nearly unplayable and worthless. Hopefully someone at CherryPop is paying attention and will perhaps create an atuo dq for such tactics. Until then, I think I will not recommend this game...

After reading some of the negative reviews I decided to write a review which I rarely do for any game. Simply put this is a game with an arcade like simplicity. No, this game was probably not created by big teams of 100's of developers but IMO it's is one of the best free games on Steam. BTW is makes for a great party game!!!

Although this game is completely out of control it seems much more structure than most open world sandbox action games...
