This is a 32-bit app. Consequently, it doesn't work on MacOS Catalina.

The transition to allow players to navigate an additional axis (Z) enables players to move more freely through the levels. This works well for the most part but there are a few issues with the camera that means it's sometimes a little tricky to see where you will land. Shadows underneath characters aren't apparant enough to judge your movements.
The local co op camera has a hard time deciding who to follow, clipping through terrain to get to the player it decides should be able to see what they're doing.

Graphics are beautiful, gameplay has been streamlined (playing the wizard is much less stressful now).

7/10

30 fps cap and laggy multiplayer. two very important things for a fighting game.

A wonderful and heartfelt experience from start to finish. Takes cues from Rayman and classic Castlevania titles, combines everything great about both and creates an immersive, exciting game.

I have two criticisms:
-During certain climbing segments, the controls don't adapt to the direction of the character. So, left and right on the stick is actually up/down or sometimes right/left. This is especially annoying in a game that demands precise responses; not a single section is forgiving.

-It is not always apparent, during chase scenes, where you need to head next. This wouldn't be an issue if there were checkpoints, but dying means starting back at the beginning of the segment. Lots of frustrating trial and error.

These minor issues don't stop the game from being a very fun game to play.

At first, I found the game kind of funny. Then I realised that I paid £20 for a 5 minute game that gets really boring really quickly.

Remember me is a beautiful (if short) action adventure game. Set in "Neo Paris" around 60 years in the future, it tells the story of how a massive corporation has turned memories into a commodity, to be bought, sold and torn away from you as a punishment. Nillin, the protagonist, sets out to take this conglomerate down in the hope that she can recover her own past. But doing so comes at a pretty big price as she uncovers the truth about who she really is!

The gameplay is pretty stale, unfortunately. The fight sequences are fairly straightforward, although the combo lab gives you the chance to customise your approach to each battle. For the platforming segments your hand is held all the way through. Neo Paris is a beautiful location and it's clear that the developers spent a long time working on it. It's a shame, then, that you are never given the chance to explore it. Glaring orange markers at all stages of the game tell you where to go, never giving you time to sit back and take in the scenery.

Overall, Remember Me is a great game, if only for it's story and visuals. That's not to say that the rest of the game is bad, perse, far from it- it's just average. If given more time (and money), this could have been a fantastic open world game. As it is, though, it is an eye-opening but brief adventure.

A surprisingly versatile game-making tool. Plenty of resources included to get you going so you don't need to create any assets unless you want to.
For those who want something with more flexibility, you can always code your own scripts to add into the game, as well!
