I acquired this game from a Beer Money website, so kinda free.

This is a really good HOG, though the earlier episodes are definitely better than the later ones. Also, secret societies are a bit overused; 3 in 4 episodes. The story is about a paranormal investigator named Adam Wolfe (puns aplenty), searching for his missing sister. Apart from the last episode, and maybe the second last, each of the others is a separate mystery that tangentially relates to the main one. Episode 1 deals with a fire demon, episode 2 is about a mysterious puzzle box, 3 deals with a painter's murdered wife, and 4 is about your sister.

The gameplay is your standard HOG fair, though the earlier HOS are unique in that you are only given one object at a time, with an explanation as to why you are finding it. Unfortunately, later HOS are more standard fare. Puzzles are standard, except for 1 card game, though they are all pretty easy.

As far as cons go, the character models can look a little weird sometimes, and Adam Wolfe kinda acts like an idiot sometimes (seriously, he just trusts a shady client to not give him a soul stealing puzzle box in ep. 2, or ep. 3's client to not be the murderer). The season also ends with a few loose threads, setting up some plotlines for a possible season 2 (yes, please).

Overall, pretty good, definitely recommended, especially if you like single player story driven games and point and click games.
