In the early days of the Winter War, vastly outnumbered Finnish soldiers are sitting in their trenches watching the inexorable march of Russian troops towards them. They can see mile upon mile of infantry, swarms of tanks, forests of artillery; bomber aircraft fill the sky.
One of the Finnish soldiers turns to another and says,
"So many Russians... where will we bury them all?"
