This game used to be a meme, and for years I ignored it because of that. After finally being convinced to play it I'm blown away by the amount of fun you can have playing No Man's Sky. Highly recommended for fans of space sims and exploration.

The game feels very lifeless, but not in an immersive way. It gives you very little motivation to keep playing and exploring. The best way I can put it is that it feels like you're playing a PUBG match but with no other players. The graphical quality, animation, repetitive and empty environments and general level of polish seem on par with that. Your co-op friends are just along for the slow, boring ride.

I'm sure the developers put tons of work into it, and it's a perfectly functional game, but it's just not very captivating.

A fun game where the unique 3D snake movement keeps it interesting. Not incredibly hard but not without challenge either.

I think this is a charming small game. The art design is really pleasing, and the sound design is really immersive and frankly impressive. You get sucked into the world right from the starting screen.

The overall experience is quite calming, but I also experienced some little moments of creepiness, mystery, and wonder as well. The characters and writing were quite well done.

My favorite part was exploring the basement section in search of the bathroom. I would definitely enjoy an hours-long game of simple puzzle solving and key finding set in an atmosphere like this, and it was an unexpected and nice touch here.

I'm glad to support the creation of something like this. I hope to see more from this developer in the future, and perhaps further expansion of the little world they created.

Early Access Review
Previously I could not recommend this game. I found it to be basically unplayable due to a series of common game ending bugs with quests and other components, as well as missing content. Since then however, the developers have worked hard to release a series of patches to fix these bugs and address player concerns.

The game is still definitely not complete in terms of content, there are many things that are either missing or simply don't work. It is absolutely an early access game. That being said, for fans of Mount and Blade, and anyone who is into medieval combat, strategy, and roleplaying, Bannerlord is a solid game that seems on course to become truly great in the coming months/years of development.
