yeah the devs went on to work on streets of rage 4 and it makes sense, this game is sick

Half a good idea that struggles to get to the finish line. The problem is that what the game starts to throw at you vastly overwhelms the quality (and quantity) of upgrades available to you.

On top of that, finishing a "run" merely adds more powerups to the level up pool (and you level up very few times in a mission) with pure garbage upgrades.

Fantastic game.

i love naheulbeuk. i grew up with the original mp3s as they were releasing nearly two decades and a half ago. i love the writing. this game does justice to that (in french at least)

even after turning down the difficulty to story mode the combat mechanics made me want to tear my eyes out. genuinely frustrating and unpleasant to deal with. i guess if you're more hardcore-coded it's worth a look but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ if you want any sort of experience here be prepared for hours of the most frustrating combat, even on the lowest difficulty. you WILL miss at 80%. you WILL get critically parried and killed instantly. it's honestly very frustrating all around.

its a good game it made me really mad you should play it i got really mad the controls feel really good dont tell my wife i got so mad and the drifting is excellent also they put mario kart's rainbow road in new york

skip 1 and just play this, the presentation and overall visual look of the game are much better.

very fun roguelike beat em up (i think? who even knows what the hell genre this is lmao) with good moveset diversity. every weapon plays differently, on top of weapons in runs having fundamental differences to the moveset.

the whole thing congeals insanely well, and is very fun to play. and the crazy thing is that there's only a fraction of the roadmap they delivered.

has a good first 75% and then the last 25% are just not particularly enjoyable to play through

also being a 2010 game this was from the era where people were trying to snub the 2d pixel look older games had, which kind of results in the game... looking how it does.

maybe a on sale pick up.

The most okay game.

a much better game than 1 that did not require me to mess around to troubleshoot for a controller to work

the rest of the game is also much more pleasant with more features (like color palettes) and fleshed out movesets. strongly recommend if you enjoy beat em ups
