This is a great example of a Definitive Edition. I wondered when they'd release a new game, and found they already have - for their best title. I hope they do this for Stronghold 2 some time.

I've neglected my sleep, basic hygiene and personal relationships because of Valheim. I still feel like I've only just started the game and I still have a long way to go.

That's a funny joke I made there. Please release it fully I've been playing that old ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ NW game since I was 14. Now I'm afraid to visit my parents out of shame or killing them with a virus.

I'm only going to tick "Recommend" in a vain attempt to bring clout to what is essentially my life.

In summary, the cutscenes are cringe, so is the dialogue. The story's boring. Missions and gameplay becomes repetitive and grindy, all for you to even advance the story(Classic Ubisoft ballshit). With minor glitches in audio and graphics throughout, why bother play for this price?

For a franchise that began on realism and historical accuracy, only with a hint of fantasy, you'll find none of that in AC Origins. You'll be seeing characters with huge, cartoonish swords and enemies that have to visually show you that they're bosses (sword-sponges) by making them ginormous, likewise for any animal.

One main problem is that AC now attempts to humanise their protagonists in one game. Despite this, both main characters are dull heroes who seemingly murder innocents in main and side quests. Since AC Unity, Ubisoft can't decide whether to have the voice actors have regional accents or all British, so they've clumsily gone for both in this game.

Many fans of this franchise died off in the early 2010s. I came back expecting a story of modern and past Creeds fighting a losing battle against the Templars, of course, this is not here... we're in ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ancient Egypt for some reason.

No one cares enough for this dying title to leave a critical review, most accept that this is just how AC is now - and that it'll be copied into their next rushed launch. I accept that casual "gamers" play AC games now, it's just a shock to play such a poor game when compared to other RPGs (Bethesda, RockStar etc).
