I can not physically bring myself to finish this DLC.

Not that there is anything wrong with it. I liked Outlast and I like this DLC with it's nore intresting protaganist who has an actual reason to fight for survival. I like how the game basically shows how everything got ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the first place.

But that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nutjob that killed all the woman? That whole part of the story made me feel sick to the stomach. Jesus christ, I can't bare to replay that bit.

7/10

Edit: Finally Finished It

Do you wanna know what my favourite thing to do in this game is?

I like to turn off the ship's oxygen and see how long it takes for the rest of the crew to suddenly realise they are slowly dying. Bonus points if they realise I am the one who turned it off as I am the only one wearing a oxygenated suit.

I love this game.

In all honesty, I am a ♥♥♥♥♥ when it comes to scary games. I want to leave the room, cover my eyes and quit the came when I hear even one sqeak of a chucrchmouse. However, I felt oddly calm when I played Outlast.

Maybe it is because the horror is more human than other games. Most of the fear comes from the inmates of Mount Massive Instituion, wandering down dark corridors, mumbling in a incoherent tounge. Not a lot of ghosts or monsters. (Well , except for Wallrider but he only shows up after 3 hours or so of playtime.) But even with that said, it is still bloody scary.

Let me talk gameplay. I won't try to ramble off on some unusual topic, but let me say this; this came is more tense than scary. Hide or run. I usually pick the latter, sprinting down corridors, making burbling noises while Gumball or Dr House follow not far behind. It kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end.

The story is intriguing as well. the kind of story you could talk about to your non-gamer friends at a party or in a car, without seeming too annoying. Basically, as I am not doing spoilers, unethical ♥♥♥♥ went down here, if you couldn't already tell from the corpses or mad patients.

Graphics are nice. And the music is standard. The darkness and camera mechanic is a nice touch. I feel as if a flashlight may have been more useful, but, it would remove the objective of recording these horrific events.

So overall, I would give this game a 8/10. Could be longer and it would be nice in a sequel to use the movement and adapt it to new situations and allow me to get past a pursuer easier than jumping . many a time did i get stuck in a hallway because a enemy was blocking me. I think I am nitpicking now. I will stop.

I really wanted to like this game. I did. Interesting setting, RPG elements and lovely visuals. But I can't. Game crashes in the doorway to the second area. I can put up with all the bugs and motion sickness inducing camera, but this is just bloody terrible

Refunded.

It's a nice refreshing breath when you up pick a survival game which doesn't have zombies or 80 types of firearms to use. Instead, The Long Dark makes up for its lack of threats and enemies with a clever art style and a clever survival system which accuratley measures your fatigue, temperature and calorie intake. It feels great to survive your first day against all odds. My biggest annoyence with this game is the wolves. A high spawn rate in areas of good resources causes me to get attacked and cause infection. Also, at one time I got attacked, stood up, brushed off the dust then got attacked again by another wolf. But great of what I've played. I don't know how they are going to fit a story in with the game, but I'll look forward to it.

No music.
Bad A.I
♥♥♥♥♥♥ guns.
Boring maps.
Lack of good gameplay.
Short and dull story

This is why I should stop buying 99p games.

Garry's Mod is, as a whole, a unique and deep sandbox game fueled by a passionate community. Enjoyment is limitless, thanks to the range of gamemodes, items on the workshop and millions of players. But, and this should be a big consideration before purchasing, this game has some "interesting" players.

Out of my hours, I can guarantee that many have been spent on the huge quantity of RP servers. There is a huge selection of themes, my favourite being SCP RP, but many of the players you will encounter on these severs are "disliked" by the majority.

Young children, for a start, can be disruptive with their constant rambling and moaning. Admins, personally, are not a favourite of mine. Let it be said that, while they may be hated, they play important roles in controlling the chaos in these servers. It's a shame they can ruin a lot of the fun in doing so.

Another major annoyance for me is "entitled" players. Those with god complexes, who donated $5 to the server and look down upon every other player, and expect instant protection from adims. The type who raid bases every 5 minutes, with so much money and weaponary it's not even funny. The type who paid $25 to get one premium job where so they can ♥♥♥♥ on everyone else. If you're one of these people, please, for the whole community, just stop.

To conclude, buy this game for the singleplayer. There's enough content there to keep you occupied for a long, long time. And when you're ready, play some multiplayer. Prepare yourself before hand though, just in case.

I have a love-hate relationship with this game

On the one hand it's a enjoyable experience where survival is fun and I meet and make new friends

On the other, I fall off 3 steps and break my legs.
