TL;DR:
Do yourself a favor and avoid getting this game until it goes on sale for 4.99. It's not worth it otherwise.

The game feels frustratingly unbalanced. Skill scaling doesn't seem to keep up with enemies, even when doing the quests at a leisurely pace and using cooked food items to buff your stats. All combat consists of spongy enemies taking minutes of attacking to defeat. The grind for completion seems to be reasonable when looking at the museum, but by the time I got to the Withergate altars it was depressingly expensive and grindy to complete those. On top of that, contributing to the museum is a huge pain because the game UI doesn't tell you when you have something to donate, and there's no way to check the requirements without going to the museum.

Additionally, trying to balance 3 separate farming zones each with their own town and hub area is a huge annoyance. It feels like the game is trying to be too much, and ends up with each area feeling mediocre and unfinished. Generally, all of the screen transitions and animations feel sluggish, making travel through the world feel painful and slow. There aren't enough fast travel points to prevent that feeling from happening. This overall means that I tend to ignore the elven farm in favor of the monster farm and normal farm.

As for the quests: they are way too grindy. When I started the monster city area the quest required me to get 1k tickets to proceed, which should have only been a few days of farming to complete. Then, the game updated and all of a sudden the requirement was bumped up to 3k? That too should have been no big deal, except I was unable to clear out a large portion of the farmland- the large rocks and hardwood stumps, which can be mined with a certain level of tool on the normal farm, require an additional tool level for this farm. This too would seem to indicate that progression of items was not properly scaling with the area of the game I was in at any given point- so how was I able to get to and unlock this area with insufficient tools for the job?

The romance and relationships part of this game is kind of uninteresting to me but that wasn't really why I picked up the game to begin with anyway. In this game you have to persistently get rejected by your wannabe spouse until you luck into the right dialog where you can have a successful proposal- this usually takes a few days. On top of that, your spouse doesn't move into your farm, so marriage feels like... nothing changes. You get a reward in the form of a specific wedding ring based on who you marry, but there's no real gameplay change that occurs. Why don't they move in? Why can't they help on the farm or randomly give you items? Why are there steam achievements for reaching 20 hearts with every romance-able character? That's an awful lot of gameplay they're seemingly encouraging for zero reward.

Combining the above grievances with a lack of community-driven wiki support makes learning anything about the game difficult. The game doesn't explain enough of its interconnected mechanics in a way that makes it sufficient without a wiki, but the 'wiki' for this game seems to be primarily connected to their Discord server, and they also don't put patch notes for the game on Steam, which means that they don't care for any communities outside of their Discord.

Overall: I'd rate this game pretty low. It has a lot to improve before it can get to the level of replayability that other farming sims have. I will likely keep trying to get the rest of the steam achievements, and then never touch it again because I'm not having fun with it.

UPDATE
I changed up how I played and focused more on cooking and leveling my skills, and was able to bring up my level to where I felt more comfortable fighting the more difficult monsters in every area. However, I was disappointed to learn that the grind gets even more tedious when you reach level 70 in a skill, as the requirement changes from a standard XP gain to one which is essentially random, and dependent on stockpiling hundreds of all resources- by this I mean the skill tomes, which are craftable books that give you additional skill points, but have a randomized recipe each day and are pretty expensive.

It was here that I discovered that the multiplayer skills don't actually stack with other players, so if one player has maxed out a skill it is useless for anyone else to put any points into it. Really disappointed that I can't decrease crafting times or recipe costs even further by having a friend with those skills in my world.

Some additional notes: even after buffing myself to ridiculous amounts with stacks upon stacks of different foods and improved gear, I still find that I barely make a dent in the HP of the bosses such as Dynus or the gem boss at the bottom of the mines. One of the biggest problems with combat is also that the game introduces some bullet hell mechanics during these bossfights, yet almost EVERY single hitbox in the game is larger than you think. The player's hurt area is enormous, so even if you think you've dodged something you will still get hit. This means that the bossfights are only possible with an excessive amount of HP restoring, which is also annoying because then it makes it a DPS race between you and a boss with 100k health.

Also, after completing the 7 altars necessary to appease Dynus, the game just... does nothing? No follow-up dialogue about saving the town, and no thanks or rewards from the townspeople. I'm guessing that all of these positive Steam reviews still haven't gotten to the end of the game yet, or else we'd be seeing a lot more complaints about the unfinished story and the supreme 'early access' feel that this game gives off.

The concept of teaming up with yourself and blasting enemies away with a small army limited only by your own skill at a run 'n' gun game is brilliant. It's fun to play and offers a unique challenge.
