I have played BF games since Bad company, and after playing 2042 for its entire life cycle I can confidentially say this is the saddest excuse of a battlefield game made to date.
2042 feels like a cheap Chinese ripoff of a bf game.
The movement is clunky and overall a downgrade from BFV
Gunplay isn't as satisfying as previous bf games and is plagued by all kinds of balancing issues, and bugs, including but not limited to: recoil not being tied to screen center, another recoil bug that would not allow you to compensate for recoil, and finally the mouse and controller input has been broken since launch and will probably never be fixed. A FPS GAME WITH BUGGED AIMING INPUT AND DICE DGAF SMH.
Graphics are a downgrade from BF1 AND BFV, especially the ambiance.
Sound design is also a downgrade, just listen to the main 2042 theme and you get the gist.
Maps are way worse then previous installments.
Still not enough weapons and maps added to the game.
Enough ranting, If I don't stop myself I will keep going on and on, game is 5/10 in terms of other FPS games 2/10 in terms of BF games.
