If I want to get into destiny 2 in 2023 I need to pay over a hundred ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dollars for a sixty dollar game. ♥♥♥♥ you bungie, I don't care how good destiny 2 is, I am not paying a hundred ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dollars OR MORE to play it (EFFECTIVELY AND ABLE TO LEVEL UP AND GET GOOD GEAR DROPS AND NOT DIE TO ANY ENEMY IN ONE SHOT) Even EA gives you content for free from updates.
My problem isn't specifically that they expect you to pay this pricetag for every new content drop, my problem is that they've been doing this to me for eight years or more, causing me to detest this pay model with a passion.

I love The Ship. I played it back in 2007 with my little brother, and I've played it even in 2023 with friends. It's best played with friends. So I recommend getting a LAN-enabling network-emulating app, like Overwolf or RADMIN VPN (both are free). And yes, I may hear you ask, "What about Hamachi?" That sh♥t has bluescreened my computers two times on two different computers. Also don't waste your time and get the Remasted Edition. It's not even funny the state that game released in. People don't even play it! The original (still) plays better, (still) has working elevators, and (still) has secret rooms! Should say something.

Hey! I really like GTA. Unfortunately, this new decision by you, Rockstar, is not good. At all. You know what you've removed, but for people who don't know, there are 195 less purchasable vehicles that have been removed from the (ingame) online stores. You want to know how you can get these back? Get the monthly subscription for GTA+. I understand you want more money out of your cash cow. But you do not remove content that people use. Did anyone on this update team look into the vehicles they decided to remove beyond looking at ingame cash sales? No? Because you only care about shark cards? Eat a ♥♥♥♥ and ♥♥♥♥ off. I can't wait for Rockstar to castrate Red Dead 2's Online mode. You want to see what all they removed, just search up "GTA removed vehicles" anywhere. You'll get results. A lot of results. I'm uninstalling GTAV until rockstar decides to fix garbage. Anyone upset about this I'd recommend does this too. Show them how much you don't like this update. Even a hit of 3k people is noticeable. 20k is even more. Not like they'll give a ♥♥♥♥ considering the hype that GTA6 is garnering. Stop buying shark cards for ♥♥♥♥♥ sake. Just get a bunker and do that. It's a pretty chill grind. Normally I would have recommended getting a Kosatka and grinding out Cayo Perico but it's kinda been castrated, see below.

Oh, and they screwed over new players, the racing community (extra hard, by removing legitimate props and vehicles!), and this last major update is ass. You have to pay several millions of ingame money to get 200k payouts. It's ♥♥♥♥. And they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ over the grinders, too. Cayo's now a THREE HOUR COOLDOWN, for occasionally getting one mil out of it. Just go do Apartment Heists at this rate, Cayo's not even remotely worth it anymore. Shoot your game in both feet, why don't you? And adding more and more expensive vehicles and bullsh-t. I sure hope that we don't start losing guns or mechanics. Oh wait. They did cut a lot of mechanics and features from GTA IV to GTA V. I can tell there's still a small set of developers for this game, and I know none of them are going to "reverse" the changes that have already been done, and I know that the developers have to listen to their money-grubbing CEOs. Just do better.. jeez. I doubt any of you developers are really gonna check this review, but if you do, idk. Would make me feel better to know it's been acknowledged.

I love Hellsign. Atmosphere is wonderful, the gameplay is interesting, and the game really does it's best to build tension! However, I cannot for the life of me recommend it. We haven't had an update since it was dropped two years ago. The monsters are interesting, the ghosts have variety, but the risk/reward is heavily stacked to be more dangerous for a bit more reward. It's a bit bare, but not as bare as it was in development. There is just enough content that when you get a grasp on it, you might not be able to refund it, so be wary of that if you'd like to try it.

Mabinogi is a game that has been with me from adolescense, in G2S2 (Generation 2, Season 2) which is when the first pets were even introduced to the game. That was back in 2007. I have at least 10,000 hours (I had 9,780-ish hours when xfire went down finally) but it's probably 12,000 hours as of this review. My steam hours are deceptive. It's not a perfect game, it's very old, and that's very obvious when you explore the old parts of Uladh (Tir Chonaill being a big example!) But the game has a lot of charm. It's tagline used to be, "Live your Fantasy Life!", which has since been changed as of the SAO event in August of 2014. My only major gripe was the change of combat system when Dual Wielding (And the continent of Iria) was released, but it was a necessary change going forwards (even if I wanted the old system because it has some nice combos you could do, rip easy N+1[wiki.mabinogiworld.com]. The storyline is nothing too special, it's not Final Fantasy, but it's based in old Celtic mythology, and that makes it stand out from most other games to me! As well, there are no 'classes'. Some races have different additional bonuses or can't wield or wear certain things, but that usually doesn't limit you unless you play a giant. (the Giant race is great though, and they get a lot of bonuses no other races can do, such as carrying giant-aligned humans on their shoulders, using two handed weapons in one hand with a shield, etc, very melee-focused race).

There is usually nothing stopping you from doing what you want to do in the way of skills. The initial start of it as of 2022 is not too strong, there's a lot of mandatory tutorials that just run you to the bone, but it's better than having no direction and not even getting your most important skills. (Resting, Smash, Defense, Counterattack) I do recommend trying it out, it's free and isn't run by a shady corporation like Epic Games. Only dump money in it if you find you like it! I've spend a lot of money over the years on this game, maybe $100, $150 USD.


EDIT: PLEASE do not use the Brave Boost system UNLESS you want to power level for clicking textboxes and picking flowers. When I say powerlevel I mean 123 levels and millions of XP and free rebirth potions (rebirthing is what you do to reset your level and keep your stats, skills, and AP used to level skills), it's insane and too easy imo, but if you do want to use it, don't feel guilty, it helps you catch up to where most players are now in terms of level. But make sure to use your AP wisely! I'm not even sure if Blaanid's Brave Boost is still in. But just in case!

a nice comfortable game to roam around in. Some of the names of things have an uncanny.. dumbness? to them, but that's fine and makes sense as far as the game is concerned. If you don't like the narrator (I don't, at all) you can turn off his quips (which do not imo add anything to the story at all). The theme is, without spoilers, about climate change and human pollution. "What will happen when we're gone?" type of things. A lot of the game is founded on misinformation, but, you know, it's also a fun game, and it's easy enough to overlook the rhetoric when it's not being shoved in your face. obviously I enjoy this game because I like dumb little anthromorph creatures running around, but it has it's own charm besides that.

There was a bug initially on release that made it so that standing in any kind of water in a contaminated zone would lower your contamination, this has been patched and it now will actually triple or quadruple your rate of contamination. So don't try that trick.

Half-Life: Caged is a great first person real time ARG immersive sim that is about breaking out of jail, finding love, and eating cans of beans Gruel.

Short little mod. Fun secrets. Good music. Personally some of the mapping BS really caught me off guard. I didn't even realize the gravity of having working cutscenes in the goldsrc engine until my second playthrough, and only THEN did it blow me away. Can't find out how to cause a soap rope shortage, yet, but I'm working on it.

I actually really like Interstellar Marines. It's really sad what Happened to ZPS Hicks and Zero Point Software in general. In short? They slowly ran out of funding, and the entire team had to be laid off after 2015. He's pretty much a solo dev at this point, and has only in recent years taken on willing people who want to help develop for the game without being able to pay them. The game is pretty good, if you look at it in that lens. I hope one day Hicks can genuinely make this game his dream like he's always wanted, but what I see in this game is ambition; like my friend Chris and our friends and I had in highschool; we wanted to be game devs, like any teenage gamers do. We brainstormed, dreamed, and thought of so many things. We even saw and played IM's flash games. It was innovative and super cool. We were really excited for the future, I was like, 17. Now, I'm 24, and I'm just sad for hicks.. I can't have known how that must have felt to him, you know? But he keeps on, despite not making any more money, and having next to no one to help him.

PITY PARTY ASIDE THOUGH the gameplay is pretty smooth and looks pretty good for 2013, and I hope that a pistol model gets added sometime lmao so I can actually use the pistol happily
