i've been following half-life and its expansions since i was 4.

this remake, specifically the xen part, gives me a truly unforgettable experience. the atmosphere, reworked parts, soundtrack, everything about the xen part is just a masterpiece way above my expectations.

in the original half-life, xen was only about 20% of the length of the game. in black mesa, it was about 40%, with completely different enemies, puzzles, level design, etc.

i wish i could reset my memory, so i could experience travelling in xen for the first time again.
