Has potential but currently not quite there yet. Could be a lot better eventually. No idea when that will be though.

Ignoring the obvious issues with the shipping process...

I REALLY wanted to like this product. Hopefully I'll be able to change my review in the future after software/firmware updates. But as of right now I recommend running away from this product and, as much as I hate Meta, probably should buy a quest instead to get your wireless fix. Current issues, aside from obvious compression and latency which is to be expected, make it nigh unplayable at worst and incredibly annoying at best.

Constant red to black screen disconnects that take 10-15+ seconds to resolve. I'm talking two within minutes of each other in the first 15 minutes of a session. Well over 40 (I lost count) in a 7-8 hour session. Then there are the full disconnects that don't resolve and require powercycling and restarting SteamVR. I've had a few different flavors of these. The first was a red screen that lost all visuals and audio. The second was lost audio while retaining video and microphone. And the third was a grey screen that lost visuals and microphone while retaining audio.

There are also a ton of controller issues when paired to the Index, which can be remediated by connecting them to dongles on your PC instead, though this is far from ideal. Controller issues include losing both the beginning and end of inputs; my assumption with this is some form of packet loss. This results in either missing an input or continuing an input that you had stopped doing causing you to continue in a direction or rotate in a circle, etc. Controllers also end up flying in random directions or getting stuck in the center of your playspace and not even resetting position after powercycling the controller. I also experienced something weird where my trackpad, the place I typically rest my thumb, turned into my stick and started moving me around temporarily.

The nofio isn't ALL bad, I do appreciate the hotswappable batteries which really make it easy to continue a session seamlessly. The battery notifications are also nice, telling you when they're getting low and should be swapped out. The software also seems decent and intuitive but has its hiccups occasionally.

I bet my wallet really wishes it had that new button about 5 months ago.

The better Runescape, and now actually supported by Jagex.

Early Access Review
The VR atmosphere is amazing. I was waiting for friends to get on and decided to run through a map on my own. Opened the front door, stepped inside, then immediately backed out and went to the van. Too spooky, no solos for me thank you.

Gameplay is a little scuffed, which is to be expected by an early access one developer game, but it works most of the time.
Hopefully the developer keeps working on this cause it's actually a great idea with a lot of potential.

Edit:
I've been using this app since before it was available on Steam (it's still free on github, the steam app is essentially just paying for convenience now). I've also bought the donation "DLC" before it was paid because I appreciated what this app has done for me in my 7+ years of using VR. I use it every day and would never go back to a VR without its functionality. I cannot recommend it enough if you spend a lot of your time gaming or socializing in VR. My hours used should speak for itself in this regard. And please, if you have issues or can't afford the product due to your situation, please join the Discord or speak to the developer. He's a very understanding person and tries his best to make sure everyone has a good experience.

Original Review (Apr 14, 2020):
I've been using this VR overlay for the last 2 years and can't recommend it enough. I'm so glad it's finally available on Steam so it can get the visibility it deserves (and so I don't have to keep manually updating it every release :D). The developers are always adding new and useful features as well as fixing any reported bugs. I probably have around 4000 untracked hours of using this overlay at the time of posting this review, so I can definitely vouch for its usefulness. If this was a paid overlay like some of the other VR tools on Steam (it isn't, kinda crazy considering the amount of work that has gone into it) I could have spent well over the price of a AAA title and still would have gotten my money's worth.

Spiritual successor to Castlevania SotN, well worth the price.

Edit: Still waiting for multiplayer though...

Edit2: While I still "recommend" the game as it is, I feel it is about time I update to a negative review. The kickstarter promised coop and the game has yet to receive it after being out for coming on 3 years. Yet they have time to add a new guest character from a separate game. I absolutely loved the game when it came out and don't regret my purchase or backing, but it feels like the devs aren't going to live up to what they promised us. I will gladly change my review to positive when they release a functioning multiplayer.

So far I've only played 5 hours, and that's taking my time to appreciate the amazing atmosphere. This game is an experience. I've actually found myself getting tense and afraid along with Senua, even crying at some of her experiences. The puzzles are great, and I find myself analyzing them as I look over the area before even reaching that part.

I had heard great things about the game and never got around to buying it, but went for it after I heard they were releasing a VR version. I didn't know how good a third person VR game would be, but Ninja Theory pulled it off. It even runs amazing on a subpar GPU (GTX 770) at the default high settings. I tried the game at max settings and the few slideshow frames I got looked really good. It's a shame I don't have a better card because that would definitely improve this already beautiful game.

The only negative I'd say is that some cutscenes weren't made with VR in mind, so their solution was to just transition into a 3D letterbox view for them. It would have been nice to include an option to see them in full VR for those of us who are used to it and not easily nauseated.

I'll update my review after finishing the game, but I don't see myself changing much. It is such a good game and I highly recommend it.

Edit: After about 5 more hours, I beat it. It did not disappoint. I would absolutely recommend Hellblade as a must play VR experience.

Game is currently unplayable. It will start fine, but then over about 10 seconds will gradually slow my computer to the point that USB devices stop functioning and network connections stop. Tabbing out of the game and having it run in the background returns speeds back to normal, but tabbing back in slows it again.
I tried tabbing in and out to navigate to the settings menu, but gave up after changing it from fullscreen to windowed prevented me from tabbing out. I had to hard reset my computer to get the game to stop.
And yes, my computer is well above the minimum requirements.

This is impressive, like "getting goosebumps because it seems like I'm actually here" level. Lights and reflections seem real, and the scenes are incredibly high quality. The only thing off about it is the scale, which is to be expected since you're not a person but a huge VR camera rig.
