Early Access Review
I've been playing BF BC2 a lot recently, because I was really missing the crazy BS and destruction possible in that game. While BF3 and BF4 are good, they never had the same level of destruction. With the news of BF BC2 servers being axed, I was quite disappointed.

Until I discovered BattleBit Remastered. It's GOOD. The gunplay is really good. The running, jumping, crouching, laying and vaulting are all excellent, and you're able to get to some silly places with practice and effort.

The destruction feels really good and granular. Where in BF BC2 the 'units' were around 1-2M in size, in BBR they're more like 0.2M in size. The general level of destruction is also much higher, with the exception of the ground not being deformable AFAIK.

The 127 v 127 playing is DUMB and I LOVE IT! The maps are large enough that you can run around everyone and sneak past enemy lines, but not so big it takes forever to get anywhere. Though it's important to use whatever vehicles you can find if speed and time is important!

The healing and revive system is more complex than BF BC2/BF3/BF4 and it legit feels better. You can drag players to safety, and the revive-window is really nice and long! And at the same time, if you're stuck in the middle of nowhere, you can forcefully re-spawn faster!

This game is well worth the price; arguably the game is steal at it's current price (15€). There is some teething issues, but nothing major. Main issue right now is that squads seems to get split up after end-of-round. That or me and my friends are doing something silly.

Compared to 'previous games in the series' like BF4, this launch is damn near flawless! xD

Legit amazing game if you like chaos, and you want something 'more serious' than BF but not quite a hardcore mill-sim, this is your solution!

If you're looking for a mind-bending experience, this is amazing! If you're looking for a long, rich story that last hours and hours, this isn't the game for you.

Great game, mind is positively fuzzy! x..x

Fun game if you enjoy slow and careful driving in much to deep mud. Needs more snow and ice

Lovely game that looks wounderful! The gameplay is solid, with very few frustrating parts. The end of the Ginso Tree was the part I found the most frustrating, everything else was very good. Amazing game!

Runs on a rubber band, and it's tons of fun! The colors are bright, and while it does have the 'time correct' bloom, it's not too bad. If you're looking for a fun, simple racing game, this is a good one!

One negative; I've had issues making this game work with a controller. Keyboard is fine

1.0 review:
Having just finished the game propper, I am very, very impressed with what they've managed to make here. The early access process was fairly painless. Feedback and communications from the dev have been regular. The game feels great, and the 1.0 rebalance made things a lot more interesting. The new items open up new options instead of being 'more of the same'. This is a very, very good game. Love it!

Original review, posted shortly after early access:
I was very sceptical when I heard RoR2 would be 3D, but I've been amazed by how well they've managed the transition to 3D. It's also remarkably stable for a game that has just entered early access, with no crashes and only one instance of broken collision detection.

This is basically RoR 1, in 3D, with the boring items buffed or removed, and some interesting tweaks to many 'old' items.

10/10 this is one of the very few examples of 'early access done right'

The campaign was a lot of fun, if rather short at just over 2h. The freemode and area was fun. I'm expecting the many mods will give me many more hours of fun from this game!

Very displeased; the UI uses xbox controller icons when I have a keyboard connected. I was not able to make the map-maker work, despite having played all trackmania games since TM nations. I knew this game was a port, but I didn't realize it was a zero-effort port. But, at least this game gets to be my first refund, so there's that!
