Black Mesa is really a testament to the love of the lore and story of Half Life by the Half Life community. I loved playing through it and reliving some of the iconic moments in Half Life. Graphics look good and the voice acting is about as good as you can get with a fan made game which is really impressive. Black Mesa does a good job of maintaining the Half Life atmosphere with music, soundscapes and little details on objects in the game. I consider myself to be a hardcore Half Life fan and I don't understand the criticism Black Mesa has received. The Crowbar Collective has done an excellent job and I had tons of fun playing through Black Mesa. Also, Xen in it's own right was fantastic. I see it as being similar to the Xen in Half Life Alyx which is what I think Valve was going for in the original 1998 Half Life but didn't have the technology/time/money to properly show that style of Xen. Highly recommend this game.

Half Life 2 is a remarkable game. I can come back anytime and enjoy it like it's my first time playing! 10/10

CS: GO is an awesome game. But I feel it has left out some of my favorite elements in counter-strike.
For one, it left out sprays. That really makes me mad because now CS:GO does not even feel like a Valve game anymore.
Second, there is no flashlight or zombie mod. I personally love the flashlight because my screen has such a low brightness even when the brightness is turned up high. Plus, who does not love spamming the flashlight button?
Third, I hate the loading screen. It makes me want to barf. The one valve has been using for years in CS:S was perfect! I could not have asked for a better loading screen! At least with the old screen you could actually see what was loading etc.
I thought CS:GO was going to really amazed me. I was wrong.
Final thought: 75/100 Valve, you can do better.
As a long time Counter-Strike player I really hope this game is improved.
In my opinion I think most of the community thinks the same way.
If CS:GO is improved I will change this review.

Way better then Portal 1! Had a blast playing it!
