Kept putting Prey off until recently (as I'm sure many of you reading have too) and I'm genuinely sorry I did. Prey is now one of my favourite games of all time (since the PS1), I have never played a game where you find yourself so immersed in the story with the phenomenal voice cast and world building.

I normally play games on max difficulty but ended up playing easy in my first playthrough after getting my arse kicked (!) so you'll never find yourself bored as the increasing difficulties truly challenge you to think outside the box and be creative (something I don't often feel in games).

As cheesy as it sounds Prey is the kind of game that gives you a whole new perspective on life and I'm never getting Alex Yu's voice (portrayed by the incredible Benedict Wong) out of my head now. The music and sound design sends shivers down my spine and really captures the atmosphere the world creates. I feel as though I've lived in the stunning and beautiful place that is Talos I and I'll be coming back for more as soon as I can (as well as the equally engaging and even more replayable Mooncrash DLC).

If you haven't already you really should give it a go and at least see the intro sequence for yourself if you can. I can only describe the experience as closer to playable immersive art than a classic video game and huge props to the Devs for such a work. Truly time to shake things up if you haven't already!

I cannot really put into words just how beautiful and brilliant this game is. Literally a once in a lifetime experience with a story that carries such well written emotional depths you will never forget it.
Put it this way - the game is free, the supporters pack which you won't hesistate to get after playing is less than 5 Euros and I would go back and still pay 15 Euros for this game at least.

I really hope the devs get the love and appreciation they put in paid back to them in their next game as I will be preordering for sure!

This game is so utterly adorable and a great way to unwind and feel better about life! Also works as a great tool for language learning with simple sentences and cute dogs to discover its hard to stop as I've found learning Portuguese :D

After holding off on buying this after seeing the reviews and imagining the worst, I have been delightfully suprised with just how much fun it is to play. I honestly don't know what the other reviews were talking about - the gunplay doesn't feel that different from the other Wolfenstein games (on challenging difficulty) and while it has the odd blemish here and there, it is offset tenfold by the joy of playing Wolfenstein with a friend, which is soooooo underrated! Loving all the action packed, cheesy 80s light hearted romp through streets of Nazi bodies. Honestly regret not buying it sooner 9/10

Being an absolute amateur at computers I figured where better to start than at a game based around the fundamentals, and am I glad I did!
Make no mistake this game will throw you in at the deep end and you'll spend plenty of time staring at the PDf in quandary, but everything is so well layed out that regardless of your experiance you will begin to get the hang of it, with the levels being perfectly incremented so that you'll always feel challenged as much as you're also progressing.
I had no idea what to expect from this, and yet it is easily one of my favourite purchases this year, its puzzling, it works your brain, it teaches and is loads of fun all at the same time. Whether you have 2 hours or 10 minutes this game is a perfect way to fill the time. As long as you're willing to sit back and think from time to time I'm sure you'll love this game as much as I do!

Really dissapointed how this game just boiled down to a cash grab for what is ultimately a mod for Men of War... You'd be better off getting 'the great war' mod for Napoleon total war, more fun and a fraction of the cost.

This game reminds us that the most precious resource in life is teamwork, swiftly before ramming that teamwork off the top of a skyscraper...

10/10 - A Must Buy

Early Access Review
I knew it was good, but I'll put it this way, I've played easily over 70 games, and this is the first I've reviewed. It's what I've been looking for in a survival game and more. Its actually has challenging (that means you WILL die, but thats the whole point of survival, to learn to die less?) and progressive gameplay with difficult but fair and exciting threats (which includes much more than the wildlife).

The looks, audio (especially) and style of the game create a really unique and atmospheric environment which is as impressive as it is daunting (I've never had the urge to experiance the end of the world, but if I could tag along here, I've done worse...)

Its even pretty replayable in endless mode thanks to the idea of the journey you're on, bringing a desire to go back and make those changes that might get you through an extra day. This is coupled with the random islands, meaning ou'll have to survive using some different means. However thanks to being well thought through, this encourages a change in your plan rather by scavenging the right stuff for the occasion rather than alternating with good and bad luck or just using a fixed plan. The use of the characters is quite impressive as even without diologue you can feel a sense of attachement to the pair as you travel with them.

With an incoming story mode and an expanding world with updates it can only get better!
