When I heard there was going to be a 3D sequel to Risk of Rain, I had a few doubts (such as chef being ported to 3D), but I have to say this game is absolutely amazing (except for the severe lack of chef). The combat works really well, and the need to balance both items looted and time spent on a stage is still very much a thing (I wish chef was still very much a thing). The new characters are great, with Mul-T being one of my new favourite characters (obviously not beating chef), with all of their movesets being unique, making playing each character a completely different experience (having chef would make this a different experience). Most of the old items feel pretty much the same despite being adjusted to 3D, and the new items are all great additions (chef would make a great addition). The enemies are just... wow. The changes to the old enemies, such as flying shotgun wisps, are all great, and the new enemies and bosses are pretty cool aswell (chef is pretty cool).
Amazing sequel to an amazing game, 10/10, add chef again, dlc character?
