2.0 was a horrible update

There are very fun and enjoyable aspects about this game, but you have to do serious digging to find it. Story mode is only fun for the action at best, while the actual story is linear, boring, and lame in general. Online is fantastic- if you have a ♥♥♥♥ ton of money. To get a ♥♥♥♥ ton of money, R* either makes GTAO a part-time job, or coerces you into probably the most manipulative microtransaction scheme in gaming. The game is riddled with modders, but I honestly don't blame them for wanting to go around this toxic environment R* has ruined their game with. Out of my 600+ hours in this game, I'd estimate that about 150 hours was spent having fun with friends, while the rest was grinding away to an almost pointless goal. The worst part is that there is no great alternative to a game like GTAV in my experience, which is probably how they made so much money off of it and how they can get away with their slimy business practices.
