I have been playing this game for a few updates now pre 1.0 but after the switch to non MMO. I have been thoroughly enjoying the game. There have some been some interesting but hitches graphically but over all a really enjoyable game. Easy to drop in and out of sessions with friends or randoms. The bonuses that are provided to party members as part of your abilities are a really nice bonus when playing with others but nothing is lost playing solo.

I would recommend this game.

This game is great, a bit of a learning curve but that is one of the things that drew me to the game. I also love that there is always more to learn and new tech being discovered all the time.

This game is really incredible, and lives up to most of its hype so far. The graphics are really great, some of the best I have seen in an RPG, which they should be for the type of game it is (survival/horror/RPG). I do worry that it may fall into some of the repetitiveness that other RPGs have in the past. This is in regards to what I will call the “side quest grind”, where completing side quests for different people/groups to gain respect/trustworthiness becomes repetitive and stale. So far I will say it has yet to do this. Each side quest has been a unique experience that exposes you to more areas of the map or just opens your eyes to places you may have passed before without a second thought.

There are also random encounters of different types that have kept my attention such as rescuing other survivors (NPC) who are fighting off zombies, defending them while they complete some task, trying to claim air drops as they appear, and reclaiming safe houses that make for excellent midway points for quests (primary or side).

Then ....... there is the night gameplay........ OHHH the night gameplay! It introduces a stealth aspect to the game that I have never experienced before. If you screw up and are seen, prepare to sweat bullets as you run like you have never run before. It is one of the scariest things I have experienced in gaming; even compared to Outlast, although I will say Outlast is based more on jump scares. The night gameplay creates an atmosphere that produces a constant, sweat inducing fear that keeps you on your toes as you work to navigate your way through the dark city streets and rooftops. This is all while being chased by what can only be described as an unspeakable evil that is as swift as a panther and hits like a bear. If you feel up to the task I challenge you to get this game and experience the beautiful brutality that is Dying Light.
