I'd agree with some of the other reviews that the optimization is not the best and I personally found the controls to be a nightmare sometimes - like I'd try to go forward and the character would start spinning or walking around in a circle cause of camera reasons. It kind of ruins the experience when it happens...

That said, I really enjoyed this game. I specifically loved the story and I loved the characters. I was invested from start to finish. The story alone made all the negative stuff more bearable. I kind of wish it was a bit longer though. Than again, it probably could have been if I had chosen different options. I've only done one playthrough and it's definitely a game worth replaying at some point.

My overall experience with the game was very positive. I got this on discount and I feel like I got my money's worth. Idk if I'd pay full price for it though. I think it's a solid 8/10.

After Stardew Valley it was hard to find a farming sim/life sim that quite hit the spot. My Time at Portia did that for me. I even ended up playing it longer than Stardew Valley. It's a really good game, strongly recommend!

I love this game. It looks awesome and the concept is great. I really want to give it a positive review. But frankly, it's only fun if you play it with friends (for me at least). And multiplayer is pretty damn awful. Keeps crashing, hard to connect, game doesn't respond half the time, loot boxes can just pop up and kick you out of party and then crash your game. It makes me sad because those few occasions when it does work the game is actually fun. :C

I recommend this game simply because the story itself is complex and really good and the characters are very well written imo. That alone made it worth for me to play this game. However be warned that it's lacking in terms of romance. What I mean by that is sure, the guys all show affection and feelings towards the MC and the CG's you get from those interactions are amazing, some pretty steamy even, but despite that MC is dense af. It does kind of make sense given her upbringing, but it bothered me to no end that even in the very end I felt like MC didn't quite return their feelings making it feel kind of one sided and even when she confesses it feels forced (for me at least).

Also some people mentioned lack of choices. It's true, in the beginning you really don't get any other than which part of town to explore (and from my experience it doesn't really affect the story at all). After the masquerade you will get to make more choices that actually do have an impact on the story. I personally wasn't bothered by the amount of choices I was given. But again, that is up to personal preference. If we were to compare this game with Hakuoki or Nightshade, I'd say you get a lot less dialogue options to choose from. If we compare it to My Vow to my Liege, I'd say you get more.

The reason I don't recommend this is because of the price. I don't think it's worth 27.99€.
The art is great, but everything else is mediocre. The music is not that great, after about 10 minutes I turned it off, the story and writing are ok, but nothing out of the ordinary. By that I mean that the story and the character interactions didn't really get me invested at all and after a awhile I started getting distracted, forgetting the game was even running because I got bored.
I bought this for about 9€ when it was on discount, which is what I think its base price should be at.

To keep it short and simple: I love pretty much everything about this game. The only thing I didn't like is that when you cast spells the animation takes some time and you sort of need to wait before you click. I misclicked a couple of times because of it. But if you are not impatient like me it shouldn't be a problem.

I'll start with the cons: Some random crashes and bugs. Lots of bugs. But the majority of the bugs I encountered were just minor inconveniences that could be fixed with a simple reload (just remember to save often). The only time reloading didn't work was during the "Fleshless" quest in which case I used console commands to advance quest stage. That said, I blame most of the problems on Bethesda's Engine and not so much the mod itself. If you could suffer through Skyrim, you will make it through this too, except this is more worth it (imo).

Why I recommend this: The story has incredible depth, it's brilliantly written and is truly engaging. The characters are indeed believable, with ambitions, ideals and perspectives of their own. The world is rich with lore and insane amount of detail: tons of books and bard songs, to name a few. Even some of the NPC's you decide to talk to and ask about their business have something interesting to say about their homelands or other such things. The atmosphere and level design is beautiful and captivating, it is also very immersive, with the game having its own soundtrack to complement the visuals....

I will with confidence say that this is the best mod for Skyrim.
