my original half ass useless review is at the bottom. but im gonna edit this say something that needs to be said.
contrary to what air heads in steam reviews would have you believe. just because someone has a name in chinese does NOT mean theyre playing from CN servers. cn servers have more players faster queue times better matchmaking and lower ping. no one in china is going to queue NA when theyre gonna get 200+ ping and have to sit in queue for 8 years. (if youre fighting a laggy/high ping player and hating your life i promise theyre hating their life too just as much if not more. it happens theres only one server for all of na. not to mention packet loss/people with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ internet does have a major effect. and its not fun for them either.) and will have better games and a better experience on their own server. you occasionally run into eu players. but literally no one is playing NA from china. people in these reviews are just mad cuz bad and looking for anything to blame their fat L on except their own skill. A bunch of players are chinese americans or exchange students or both. people just read the reviews get killed by china man then go parrot what the idiots are saying in these comments about vpns and players server hopping from CN without using their brain. its true matchmaking historically has been rather harsh in terms of mixing a variety of skill levels together but thats because the player base in NA was small compared to cn. so to get games sometimes the range of skill in a lobby was rather broad. now that the game is free to play more players will come in and ranked matchmaking will balance out over time and become more even and consistent. this is one of the most unique games in existence right now. its a fresh take on br. has an amazing combat system. plenty of weapons. insane movement. and the skill ceiling super high. theres no sugar coating it. this game is hard. you will have to put in some time and practice to get good at it. but once you gain a better understanding of how the game works and its ins and outs it starts to make a lot more sense and your reaction to dying will go from "wow thats some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥" to "ok. sucks but it makes sense. i ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. ill do better next time." its insanely fun and well worth the investment because when you get it right its so so satisfying. and theres some truly amazing content creators and educational sources and communities wiling to help players improve and get better. if youre reading these steam reviews and are on the fence about trying it out or on the fence about sticking with it or not. give it a shot. put in the work. it is worth it. and a LOT of the people in these steam comments have ZERO idea what the ♥♥♥♥ they're talking about. dont listen to them. play the game. learn about the game. practice the game. and form your own opinion instead of parroting what these brainless apes are saying in the comments. that being said. edit 2* great sword is trash nerf dagger. and yes. im still bad.
edit 3* Dagger is fun. I'm still bad but not as bad as before.
edit 4* no longer bad but last update made the game unplayable with stuttering and micro freezes. i uninstalled and am retiring.
