Oneshot is an experience, while it may be short, it sure is long enough to get you invested in the story and everyone involved in it, its a great emotional journey. If you have 10 dollars to spare, or maybe even 5 if you caught on a sale or something. Please do yourself a favor and buy this game.

I did both the normal and solstice endings in one day im still crying as i write this please help me

Getting Over It With Bennett Foddy

A game about a Man in a pot, climbing a mountain full of different obstacles.
A game thats definitely gonna test your patience and your will

In it, your task is to climb up a mountain with a hammer. Start out climbing over a tree, which is a tutorial for you to learn the controls and get somewhat used to them. Then a couple rocks. After that you get to the first hard part of the game, which is a tunnel with 2 lamps on the side. Named by the Community as "Devil's Chimney", that part on is own, is the reason most people stop playing, after you get past it you find yourself on harder obstacles Such as Orange Hell, The Anvil Jump, Bucket, Ice Cliff and the infamous Snake

The game also has a narrator that follows you throughout your climbing, that narrator being the developer himself. Bennett Foddy

On his first quotes he talks about how "starting over is harder than starting up". A quote that makes sense after you play the game for a decent period of time, followed by a talk about the game's inspiration, "Sexy Hiking" Its also worth noting that the first tree is a callback to sexy hiking

If you by any means fall down a certain spot, Bennett will say quotes from famous people. Which in my opinion are very encouraging quotes, it can also play certain songs. Such as Going Down The Road Feeling Bad (personal favorite), Poor Me Blues and Whoops A Doodle

Bennett, as mentioned before. Is gonna be there throughout the entire climbing, which makes it more comfortable for me and maybe most players

As you keep going further, Bennett's tone gets deeper and slower. He gets more personal and smooth about his talk

When you get past the Ice Cliff, he reminds you. Of all the stuff you "conquered" followed by him saying "Theres no way left to go but up, in the moment. I'll shut up, but let me say. I'm glad you came , he thanks you. For coming with him on the trip, the trip over his mountain

Later on you find yourself in space. The very last place to climb over, at a certain height Bennett will say his final words: I dedicate this game to you, the one who came this far. I give it to you with all my love

Climb over the floating rocks, do one last jump. Game ends with credits, credits about Bennett Thanking the people who made the game possible, aswell as his colleagues and friends. While the credits go by, you can hear Going Down The Road once again, but this time its sang by Bennett himself. Then, you get asked if you want to see the reward. Which is only for those who have climbed to the top of the mountain reward which i'll obviously keep a secret

This is a game you should try to play, even if you find it too hard or impossible for you to beat. Practice makes perfect, even if you fall to the very bottom. As i have many times, you still can beat the game and feel the satisfaction of completing it, you still can get over it.

Its an experience. An experience that everyone should try once in their lives and maybe finish.

You also get a sick gold pot if you beat the game more than 25 times
