Not only can you not log in with existing account, Steam version can't even run with proton, unlike WGC version
Just stick to WGC version if you actually want to play it, regardless of your platform

I feel enlightened by this game. Man I love Yuuka Kazami, all those IRL facts and glitches (From Speedrunner) were so useful I feel like I can speedrun my life now.
CBT is important, kids.

Ah yes I love it when I get locked out of the game and forced to register on another platform years after I bought the game.
Ah yes I love it when a game development studio gets bought out to get their work destroyed.
Ah yes I love it when ♥♥♥♥ you Epic

This game needs no introduction, really. I've spent my entire childhood playing pirate version of this game, so not buying it on steam would be disrespectful. If you want to feel these good old times again, buy it. It has everything that you could ever want in 00's. Bad mics, constant dramas between 40 yos..

This game is a great example of what an open world should be IMHO with nearly all buildings and floors being accessible.
This game's world is cool and very detalized, yeah, but... the story is very short and cut. I bought this game with a collector's edition, spent $150 on it (It's price used to be $30 raw at the time I bought it) and from a $60 (in most regions at that time) game all I got is 18 main missions, 4-5 of which are mission-in-mission(so in fact they can't even count as a mission) and 12 side missions that are all made up so they mean something in the later playthrough, but the game literally cuts you at the half of the planned movement that was described in the story and even leaves you with some main characters barely known to you. The 2 last couple of story DLCs however is actually good, even though they don't have any connection to the main story, just a "different story with your main hero attached to it".
But even with those 2 awesome DLCs the game focus is still on the main story, the story that cuts you off with barely any information. This ruins the experience entirely because the next DX game won't be released anytime soon.
As for game optimization and performance: It's bad. DX12 is barely supported and constantly creates only more issues, than DX11 version. Stability is bad and if you don't own AMD hardware, then it's going be real pain in the ass with constant freezes, because apparently SE thought of optimizing for AMD a lot so they can snap a "AMD Gaming Evolved" logo on the start, but forgot about Intel and Invidia users. So in short if your pc is on AMD hardware - you will not face problems mentioned above, but if otherwise..
Also microtransactions. M I C R O T R A N S A C T I O N S in a SINGLE PLAYER game! And it's not for something useful, but either a one-walkthrough item that will get lost when you finish the main story(Unless you replay the game in NEW GAME+ mode) or praxis kits that cost very much(You can also easily hack the amount of them using a trainer/other memory editor). Square Enix, please, don't ever touch this again in a SP game.

I am gonna honestly suggest you to save your money and disk space for another game, it's singleplayer is a one-time use road, you will not come back to SP later as it doesn't really drag you into it(In fact, it's all run and shoot with a good story wannabe, but in the end you will simply just run around the map killing everyone to see a short cutscene with unecessary story information).
Tons of bugs, some of them are so annoying, that they can make you uninstall the game as soon as they happen. Only in this game you can fall through the elevator or a moving up platform and die of falling.
Multiplayer has tons of microtransactions which is okay nowadays (As I noticed, they don't really give you anything, but visuals, so it's pretty much fine)
