Been playing this in co-op with a buddy, lots of fun.

It's pretty true to D&D 5e rules, and seems to have a focus on 3D terrain. You will encounter a LOT of spiderclimb, levitate, flying, or even just Jumping, from the enemies. Can be tough for melee characters to participate. The pathing is ♥♥♥♥, your char will often provoke attacks of opportunity when there's no need to, so mind where they are going to run before clicking. There is also sometimes bugginess, like a spider climbing on the underside of a bridge, attacking the people atop it (through the stone).

There are nowhere near as many dice-rolls for dialog in this, compared to Baldur's Gate 3, but they do happen, and our party seems to fail almost all of them despite having fair skills. That sucks, I wonder what we've missed...You don't get an opportunity to dynamically buff like Guidance etc. Did you fail to pick a lock? I guess you'd better have the Knock spell, because it won't let you try a 2nd time. The skills are harsh.

Sometimes, after you open a door, or even just complete a battle, you'll have an immediate cutscene and usually be teleported somewhere, or start straight into another battle...in extremely unfavorable formation, and with nobody hidden.
Would be nice to have a chance to save, rest, prepare, etc.

I am playing a Sorc and Rogue. Sorc feels terribly weak on levels 1-4 but everyone is kicking butt by level 5. Stealth/Hiding is pretty easy to do with Rogue's Cunning Action, and is very powerful (using a bow). Alternatively, you can dual-wield melee weapons for an extra attack, but you still only get 1 sneak attack, and that occupies your bonus action for an off-hand attack. Usually bow seems the wiser choice.

CRAFTING seems to be a huge part of the game. I spent a feat to be able to use a Poisoner's Kit on Rogue, and Sorc can do herbalism kit, and prayer beats crafting item (forget the name), used to enchant certain items. They have to be ready to receive an enchantment and the game has some specific term for that. You can buy crafting materials at some shops but the recipes and components aren't cheap! Have mostly relied on finding stuff in the wild, so far.

Overall very fun so far and looking forward to more!
