Just hit a little over 30 hours total game time at the time of this review. Probably nearing the end of act 2. I’ve done every battle I’ve come across, and can say that the game is very well paced. The combat is refreshing when you first play the game as it’s old fashioned turn based with a new age style of quick time events. You definitely have that sense of doom when facing a boss the first time because you don’t know their skill set and abilities. There are very few enemies where you can just walk up and auto attack repeatedly to beat. The game does need a mini map or directional helper for where to go at times, but those are small quality of life details. As long as you pay attention to the story, you’ll know where to go next. Overall, I’m giving the game a 9/10. Really enjoying it and will likely play NG+ after beating it and taking some time to play other games.
