Yeah like, it doesn't get much better than this.

I mean, pretty unpolished, all over the place with... everything. BUT. I still kinda enjoy it. Except the car level. There is some potential, I wouldn't give up on this game just yet.

It is truly autisti- I mean fantastic, I strongly recommend it.

Nicely done game. The story of Metro is there, you either like it or not, for me it has a few ups and downs. The writer made a few questionable choices here and there, but it doesn't rly make any problem, it even adds a small layer of curiosity when told through a video game, making it a bit more interesting from time to time.

All in all, it has nice mechanics, gameplay is decent... I would recommend it.

only one server to play on (just got in and there was a massive number of players waiting to join)

the game is not that special at the start, gets a bit more interesting afterwards, but most of the activities become boring after a while.

if you don't find a good cooperating group, you will be mostly surrounded by extremely toxic players. Not many of them will likely share loot, some will just use new players to grind dungeons and farm mobs in parties, taking all loot for themselves

marketing system exists (auctions, volute conversion, player market... etc.) but is not really that big of a deal, you will find a scammer here and there, and gold-silver value changes so little (it is always about 3020 +/- silver for 1 gold) that it is hardly possible to profit of it by a large amount. Just for measure, repairing one 3-5 tier item will cost you maximum 2k silver, plus you have a whole inventory of gear. That is not much for an advanced player, but for early or mid game it is quiet tricky

you don't need to necessarily spend money in the game, luxurious crap can be bought with in-game currency, which you will need to do at some point, because the game really likes its premium simps (extra loot, higher position in waiting ques, faster progression, exclusive items... etc.)

I kinda just didn't get what I expected from this game, they portrayed it much better in trailers than it actually came out to be

Gameplay:

Not so much combat, even if you manage to like it it will hardly get you anywhere. It is built upon re-spawning enemies always set on exact same spots on the map and you using your abilities to just rush in them and either die or kill them in a few shots. Even bosses aren't that different.

Too many events, side jobs, mini-games, currencies to operate with in quests. Pretty pay to win, even tho you are able to trade with other players it will take you extreme time to earn anything useful, cuz the community is kinda crappy and only high lvl players are rly noticed.

If you want to progress by yourself, well be prepared to mostly do nothing but wait to get free rewards every now and then, spend time clicking on stuff to level up your workers (over and over again), doing pretty repetitive quests for random characters usually getting you only slightly better gear... even most of the lore can be found right in front of your eyes and most is just random garbage.

Mechanics:

Combat:
Not too much of thinking. You just gotta spam the right thing in right situation. If you are a really skilled D&D combat player you might even be able to defeat strong enemies with literal starter gear. Sometimes enemies will simply overpower you because 1. if animation is not programmed to be evadeabe, IT WON'T, even if you are 10 thousand lighting years far away, it will hit you; 2. there are no blocking mechanics 3. best movement is basically just jumping around... yeah you get the point.

Using items, consumables, or any other game service:
Oh, it is 75% success, NO! you will most certainly fail the first time whenever using it in any situation, afterwards it become 75% success. Oh you got your inventory full of epic loot-boxes, too bad m8 ya gotta buy keys to open those, but not for money you get via grinding. Oh wow, some player is mocking you in the chat, ah well, too bad you can't respond back cuz you haven't spent yer money yet boyyyy...

Statuses:
Oh wow, you have so many effects on your gear, thats so cool... huh, you want an advantage in combat, damn that's epic... ok how about you now buy some blessing or some epic potion and ♥♥♥♥, you know the only things that can differ your fight by making you by like 10 levels stronger for like 2 minutes.

ok, lets just finish this, the game is utterly crap. If you want some real D&D experience like you had in Neverwinter nights and still want this type of movement and freedom you should turn to WoW, Black Desert, D&D online... or anything to be honest, just walk away from this one, please.
