Game is stellar, a great and impressive remakes of one of the best games in human history. It's aged fairly well, being a simple yet exciting experience in how it's made. No more spoilers, just enjoy. It's worth it, a piece of gaming history the world won't ever forget.

The game is overall fair if one wanted "A" motherload game. But it will never be "the" motherload game we all came to know from yesterdecades. The biggest problem the game suffer from is an art style that is great in it's own way, but doesn't match the look or feel of the older game in any way at all. This mean that this game is fine and great on it's own, but it therefore doesn't satisfy the polished experience many of us still desire from the old original flash game of old.

The gameplay is far more streamlined in super motherload, you get checkpoints so this make that part of the game longer yet easier because we play the game in steps. The gameplay is as we remember before, but with small new features and polished new tools to assist us. It does however make the game feel easier than it have to be, one get the sense of how the developers this time made the game far too easy VS hitting the middle balance.

From start to finish, one tend to get bored of the stale elements the game provide. Sure, more difficult puzzles and niche expensive tools make the game a bit more fun. But no crude threat (if played right), no inspiring art style that show how we upgrade and shape the digger itself, and repetition taking control, the game basically never get that much better and only the outmost few will complete the game and/or re-play it at all.

I now bought the game 2 times, and see it as me supporting Xgenstudios for the good old time's sake. But me like some will still remember and play the old game instead as we look with amazement at the engine part designs and how extraordinary and amazing they look. And we will enjoy hunting for exotic upgrades that let us drop down 2-3 minutes straight once again, good times.

Overall: 7.5/10, some will love this game far more than me for sure. Art style on it's own: 8.5/10, it's unique and great but doesn't fit the game when comparing it to the older version. Gameplay: 5.5 (It's fine, but doesn't grow in any way that make you care too much).

Runs damn well. Is a lot of fun, can also be extremely difficult. Often worth the full price, RPG shooters are rarely as solid as this one for sure.

Snagged this during the summer sale because i figured the game looked nice, and other reviews claimed it was solid. It sure seem solid in terms of what the game contain so far. But the performance is deceptive and incredibly bad on my system. Rolling a Vega64 with a MorpheusII cooler, and a beefy 1800x at 3.95Ghz with 16GB of 3400Mhz ram. The game basically seems fine in it's early stages, and i know it's early access. But beware if you got any sort of high core-count CPU (amd or threadripper OR expensive af Intel stuff), the game cannot handle that at all it seems. No reasonable threading going on. And also beware if you don't have a Nvidia graphics card, OR the latest Nvidia stuff. Steam reports for some reason 110fps, but your experienced FPS is more akin to 11.

I am not kidding, you get like 11 fps. On "low" graphics settings. While i'd get over 350 in CS:GO or 110fps in Dayz with high settings today. Put this game on-hold. Once the devs fix this stuff and mature compatibility properly, give it a go. Seems promising.

The original H1Z1 version was vastly superior to this game, but that game has also been butchered by the developers so we are stick people. H1Z1 had the upside of having abugged but therefore very interesting shooting system. DaybreakGames "fixed" it though, and erased the old proper map. So we basically got no H1Z1. PUBG is plagued by horrid spaws for loot, only Sanhok god good spawns and better cover. But EVERY map should have had those elements implemented better so we aren't getting anywhere here.

The first and second map though, how about those? The first map is in practicality better to play, but inconsistent loot spawns and cover butcher it often.

And the PERFORMANCE of the game + mechanics? The framerate is a joke. H1Z1 at least enabled the community-render-distance hack into a feature of their game. By that angle, daybreak has really tried the hardest to make a good BR game and they deserve that credit. But at the same time, they got insanely overpowered grenades. And has ruined their original game. So nobody cares about H1, fair. But that game's performance is outclassed only by CS:GO here. PUBG? It is a cringy disaster, 60 fps with a mid-range GPU at 1080p in 2016-17-18 is so embarrasing i cannot see this game going anywhere long-term unless the developers realize what design-mistakes they are actively enabling with the entire map being rendered in at all times. I am not joking. That is a fact, a reality. Your GPU and primary CPU core is being hammered so hard it is unbelievable.

The game mechanics are on their own sluggish to an amazing degree, but at least they aren't changed. So while bad, we can work with them. Ping? General mobility? I would love it all to be 30% faster, that would make the game perfect. But we can dream.

My last word will be on the Esports side of this game. I cannot see this game going far, and i believe that my original review of this game was removed for such reasons or whoever-knows-what. But why i can't see the game going far, is basically because of the framerate. The unhealtyh addiction to RNG randomizing what guns you get. And the game-style being basically mentally challenging. In CS:GO, Melee, LoL, Dota2, even competitive WoW and the list goes on, it is easy to pick a winner. With the BR genre? Crowning the winner is the most un-fun thing i have seen in my entire life!

In Melee, it is a thrill! CS:GO? It can sure be quite the ride, same with the rest of the Esport games i listed that i have dabbled into. But Pubg? Holy damn no thanks people, play this strictly as a casual game if you do not want to strain your own sanity. At this point, Realm Royale is a far more intriguing product VS any other BR game i have seen so far. That game solves cover-issues, spawns, game-fights, mechanics, and more. The only thing Realm Royale is missing is a good framerate, at least that is my take on it so far. Who knows, maybe yet another dev team will trip and fall over themselves because they do not understand what competitive natures demand? Time will tell. And time is running shorter for PUBG in my critical eyes.

Gonna re-review this game since I've played it 3 times overall.

This is as i stated in the past, a "shock" game primarily. With a very black-metal and death type of vibe to itself. Honestly, it's not for most people by even a long shot. You are either a serious metalhead OR sick in the head if you want to & like this game for that reason alone.

It is however very well made, and it completes itself as a creation to say the least. The style, music, ways to heal yourself, the goals, the side-goals as well as the weapons you obtain.

It can be difficult at all modes if you don't know what you are doing, but it doesn't matter so long you nail objectives and use grenades pretty well. The game also runs on basically anything modern since it's a bit old ish.

But the style holds up super easily.

So if you have hatred in your heart; have experienced great injustice?! Maybe even been treated unfairly or horribly? While this might satisfy your primal reaction to such experiences, remember that this is fiction and it's just silly fun for the hell of it. SURE, humanity and the west is currently in dire struggles. Sure, it's enabled by the common folk. But life is too important to throw away either way, which is why i find this game just so insanely silly and stupid at it's core.

It's probably 8/10 ish to those that like the vibe, and maybe 2/10 if you isn't compatible with the game.

You have made a life-long mistake, not having played this game. You are literally dumb if you haven't grabbed it yet, and straight-played the entire game to it's finish just to complete it. Valve's best and worst creation, all in one game series. Great, because it exists. Worst, because there won't be an Episode 3. Ever.

If you think you are a dedicated bastard, this game will put it to the very test. Beat this game within a week not having touched it before, and you are ready for the world of hard competitive games.

Worth it since it is free, dunno how it is in recent times tho.

My AMD based PC nailed this test, the 1800x + my RX580 proved to be plenty to never fall below the 90 fps requirement for this test. I am however not interested in VR what so ever, however technology using my hardware in more efficient ways makes me stoked about development in this field overall.

This test is overall simple but fair. And do enjoy yourself some VR if you feel like!
