Imagine that you're inside of a hotel, and you want to watch a movie. However, every 15 seconds, the movie pauses itself, and you have to take an elevator to another floor of the hotel and wander through a maze in order to watch the next 15 seconds of the movie. While you're doing this, sometimes a guy takes away the remote control that you need in order to make the movie play, and you have to go back to Floor 1 in order to get the remote back.

I just described the gameplay of At Dead of Night. It's not a fun way to experience a story. And that's why I cannot recommend this game.

I'm impressed with the seamless integration of live-action footage with 3D photorealistic game environments, but gorgeous graphics can't save an unpleasant experience.

Would be better with a map, would be much better with a way to fast-forward through the Scrying Mirror scenes, and would be far better with the ability to save.

An extremely fun game for anyone who is enthusiastic about spaceships and spacetravel, enjoys sandbox gameplay where you get to goof around endlessly, and/or loves to watch things explode.
