Good, interesting souls-like. Worth one playthrough at least, maybe wait for a sale. Personally, I'd buy at full price, I like to pitch in and encourage more developers that show promise to make more souls-likes. Same reason for this positive review.

Falls a bit flat when it comes to variety of weapons, as one longsword to another feels like a sidestep, not a lot distinguishing one from the other, except for looks. Having a lot of choice in this case in all the weapon types feels redundant, lessening the point of swapping masks a bit aswell

Lacking in enemy variety, a lot of re-skins or overuse of same enemies. Re-skins at least fit each chapters worldbuilding

Quests are dull, only slightly interesting one given by Bargniff

Above points makes world feel emptier, as loot isn't really exciting, leaving enemies, often re-skinned, the sole other factor to actively engage with traversing the chapters, other than short talks with Pulcinella or the few interesting bosses inside combat rifts. Points to chapter 1 for docile enemies in dancing idle positions, a bit of flair

Just of the top of my head, I can't recall the last time Ubisoft released anything quite like this game, when it comes to quality gameplay and the absence of issues. They've done a complete turnaround as far as I can see. It's not really an Assassin's Creed game, don't get those "vibes" from the gameplay, and the mechanics and settings are focused around active combat mostly. However, story and atmosphere feels the same. Overall a great game though.

Just writing a review that, like most of the others, will probably be buried in the mountain of ecstatic comments about pure joy and complete awe at this creation. It's, to date, probably the perfect RPG, atleast. Might be the most perfect game in a lot of categories that weigh whether a game is good or not objectively. Have these guys been knighted or received some sort of medallion? They should get both. The author who created this world should too, giving this studio the template and vision to create this outstanding piece of work.
