Very Fun

Pros:
-Build a big tower bristling with as many guns as you can fit
-Super customizable personal weapon
-Blow up tons of enemies for that power fantasy
-Movement and gunplay is buttery smooth
-Co-op Multiplayer content that was added after initial launch is pretty good.

Cons:
-Absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ writing/story (this cannot be blamed on the translation. The story is disjointed, broken, is missing huge amounts of content, and flows like chunky gelatin)
-Poor translation
-Even worse voice acting (I can't tell if the Voice Actors are generated by AI, or if they have less than zero experience)
-The good multiplayer content is locked behind single-player story mode progress. I did not get this game for multiplayer, but for those that might be expecting it, you will need to grind single-player first.
-Basic gameplay loop functions are not very well explained, everything is given a very superficial introduction, and then you are left to figure it out on your own.
-End-game content for achievements are unobtainable without cheating/modding.
-absolutely brutal progression plateau at about 80% story mode completion, and the reward for getting past it is a huge letdown.

This game scratches that tower-defense itch that I can't find in many other games. In order for me to have completed the single-player campaign, I had to put some huge blinders on to get past the bad writing. The main gameplay loop is good, but I do think that it can be improved on. It seems like the devs have called this game completed and released it into the wild without much Quality Control.

Just skip all the dialogue, you won't miss anything.

I hear there is a shop down the road from me that will rip your eyes out for you.

I will consider that before considering another minute of playing this game

Game is LITERALLY unplayable. the opening dev logo splash screen is all the gameplay you will get out of this.

Why is it not unlisted from Steam?
Why is it in my library?

Early Access Review
To summarize:
No One Survived is a game with a shallow premise, exactly zero explanation on how to progress on the crafting tree, zombies, and the story is precisely 2 sentences long. but also: PHYSICS!
This game plays like a poor midpoint between 7 Days To Die and Rust. It has all of the bad parts from both of those games, with none of the good parts.
It is very pretty as far as graphics and physics are concerned, and it has enough realism in the crafting tree that it makes you need to manage your inventory.

picking up items items from the floor is so difficult that it would be easier to buy the things you want. Tool collisions are so bad that axes quantum teleport through the tree you're chopping. Sound engineering is absent; the devs straight up ripped sounds from other games, so that maybe when you hear them you'll be like "oh yeah, that is maybe what that's supposed to sound like". The player character moves so clunky, it may as well be a walrus. But, again, it's visually pretty.

I picked it up on sale. I'll probably uninstall it and come back to it in a year to see if the terrible has been patched out.

The only two words you need to know about DDLC: Play It

that said, there are a few things I should inform you about

This "dating sim" is not one where boobies are involved. sorry 12 year-old steam user

This game is a fantastic piece of software that is a strong entry for the eternal "Games are Art!" category.
The story is well written
The art is fantastic
I had soooo many epiphanies about my own life after I played this game (no, seriously. I go to a therapist now)
I would play this multiple times to discover the different branching storylines

Unfortunately, I do not recommend this game for anybody that doesn't have a good sense of sarcasm
humor
stoicism
computer know-how
or how visual novels operate generally

-->Make Certain You Save Before Each Big Decision<--

and to wrap up, I'll end with a poem~

Love
Can we
Try a bit
To make better
Why must it hurt so
Especially when
It comes from
That damn

In a word: Playable

Blacklight: Retribution is a very fast-paced FPS with many in-game toys to play around with. the Graphics are beautiful and the gameplay is smooth. I enjoy the variety of the maps and the customizability of your character.

That's about all that this game has going for it

With no instruction guide or tutorial in the game, I had to look at the keybindings in the settings menu to know how to even fire my gun properly. there are things that I learned while in-game, yes, but I wish I knew that you have a tool to see through walls, or what button to even press to activate it, 20 losing matches ago.

Spawn locations are terrible. They rotate in a seemingly predictable manner, but can be spawn-camped like crazy because of it.

The PC Freemium version of the game leaves you undergunned and easy to kill right out of the gate. no matter how much Counterstrike, CoD, or MoA experience you have, you are worthless until you shell out some greenbacks to buy the in-game currency needed to trade for new equipment. You can earn in-game currency by playing matches and leveling up your character, but that would require you to allow your ego to be crushed in many losing matches before you can afford anything.

in short:
Game Mechanics/Graphics--Awesome
Playability--It's a Freemium game, what would you expect?

A great little adventure into one man's life. there's no "adventuring" outside of a little house, but the whole game is spent piecing together the protagonist's memories. I like little point-n-click games like this. and because it was for free, I wasn't going to pass this one up. the only way you can be disappointed with this game is if the only way to fulfil your life is to kill something every few seconds on your favorite FPS. if you have half a brain, get this game.
