Alright, this game is far from flawless. Does it warrant the amount of negativity it's getting? I don't believe it does.

I've read a huge amount of Drizzt saga books and while this takes quite a bit in terms of artistic liberties, I genuinely like the game play. Combat feels like it has some weight to it, you get to see the companions fighting together and it's all pretty enjoyable. There are hiccups in the combat here and there but not enough to take away from the game for me.

AI on the enemies is pretty bad, can't deny that claim one bit, hoping to see that get tuned in follow up patches to some degree because the enemies are pretty dumb at the best of times.

If you are coming into this game expecting much to do with D&D, it isn't for you, outside of the characters and setting this doesn't have anything to do with the D&D ruleset.

TL:DR - This is an arpg first and foremost set within the Drizzt line of books. It is flawed in some ways and quite fun in others. If you aren't sure about it, subscribe to Game Pass for a month instead of paying 40$, then it only costs you 15 to try and see if you like it.

After 2000+ hours in this game I think it's safe to say it's a good game. Incredible skill ceiling that is always evolving and getting higher, always fun to play. Can't recommend this game highly enough.
