But this game is being used as a cash grab. Features getting added that basically nerf earlier paid tiers.
It's not pay to win. It's "pay to play with a particular role that you'll rarely if ever get otherwise".

Holy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥. This game is good.

In order to play with your friends for fake money, you need to spend 'gems' (which are a premium currency) in the game. That's some scummy ♥♥♥♥ and I'll take my business elsewhere.

All I wanna do is play with some friends. Why make that hard?
The answer is money. This game is most likely a cash grab. I wouldn't know because as soon as I figured this ♥♥♥♥ out, I left.

It's a good game but there's one feature that annoys me to NO END.

When nearing the borders of the plateau on which the entire game takes place? It tries to nudge you back in by limiting your outward speed. You will move slower the further out you go. Now, this only happens in the radial direction outwards from the center, but it's so annoying that I can't turn this off. I'd rather the game just let me jump off if I wanted to instead of nerf my movement speed in certain directions, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

But hey, the Linux version is absolutely great.

Considering the hype this game received years ago, I figured it was a good game. Boy, was I wrong.

- players being hyperactive and disconnect happy tends to ruin the atmosphere
- music/sound layering system is a half-ported mess that depreciates the atmosphere
- story is rather shallow and void
+ nice atmosphere, I guess!
- game is missing something, probably the music/sound layering system

Companionship is everything in this game. First meeting another player and that was cut short as the other guy either ran ahead or disconnected. This happened a lot during my game: Either I was left behind or I ran too fast and left someone else behind. All my companions were like this. I went through about 7 of them on my first and only playthrough.

When I did find a companion, they were constantly being a hyped up duracel bunny. I don't understand how some of you folks don't appreciate a game's atmosphere, this game has plenty. I was trying to enjoy the game and absorb the atmosphere, but some other player constantly running around you like some amped up duracel bunny really ruins the vibe.

The music is really a saving grace on this, 'lo and behold I read some guy's review saying the sound/music layering system thing wasn't ported correctly. Probably because ths PS4 can handle more concurrent sounds than your PC because specialized DSP processors are a thing in consoles. Well, color me surprised when I find it hard to get into the game: the music which provides most of the atmosphere is broken.

After playing through it, in a dark room, with a 6500k monitor and a good sound system, I felt like this game is missing something. I can't tell what but I highly suspect the music/sound isn't what it is on console.

Sad. I'll never experience this game for the first time like it was meant to be experienced.

Damn it, these controllers are expensive!

Wow. Cool game. I downloaded this game just to test out Steam's new "play together" functionality but it turned out to be really good.

If you have controller/gamepad and a keyboard? This is really fun to play with someone. I highly recommend it.

A real shame the experience was so laggy for the remote side over that "play together" thing, though. But that's not the game's fault but steam/internet lag for ya. lol
