For a measly price, you get to play a genuine Half Life 1 Remake in its entirety. Most of the game is done well, and is faithful to the source material. Gunplay is top notch and everything just feels right.

The Xen chapters however, are reimagined so much it now becomes an entirely new and fresh experience. Xen is a beautiful alien scenery full of wildlife (with a theme of space exploration gone wrong), and later on, a focus on the industrial influence of Nihilanth and the controllers towards the Vortigaunt slaves as you make your ascent.

Totally worth the asking price; in fact this could easily be at least $30 and people would still buy it, it's that good.

Hands down, one of the best games of all time if you love action and adventure games.
This game is guided entirely by a narrator, and a very memorable one at that. I'd say play this at least once in your life.

If you are looking to be a lone wolf who's not too strong or too weak in a medieval fantasy world, this is the game for you. The game's full of story, deep lore, and even the side-quests are always well-thought out and interesting. You'll really enjoy this game if you immerse yourself in the world. A masterpiece in every aspect.

The classic Payday game. While it has much less content than Payday 2, it's still a great game. The mechanics are solid, and is more of a true FPS game because there are no such thing as perks that instantly recover armor / health and whatnot. Everyone is equal here, with classes having clear advantages and disadvantages. It is overall a more strategic and tactical game that feels much more rewarding pulling off heists than its sequel.

Touhou Luna Nights is an metroid / castlevania styled action game that will test your skills and reflex to navigate through the dangers of the Scarlet Devil Mansion. It's the perfect game if you're not exactly awesome in the main Touhou games. There's no difficulty setting, so expect this game to be hard. This game is not for casual / inexperienced gamers, you have been warned.

My opinion? Must buy for any Sakuya fans out there who has decent experience with 2D side-scrolling games. Even if you're not a Touhou / Sakuya fan, It's also a very solid side-scrolling 2D game that will be worth buying.

FFIX is hands down one of the most impressive Final Fantasy games ever. The story and setting is rich in lore and is ever changing, never a boring adventure from start to end with life lessons, character developments, and moments that will shake you to your core. Unlike FFVI, VII and VIII, there is no Magitek / modern / prominent industrial metal works theme in this game, so it's also a breath of fresh air coming out of these two games.

If you find yourself in a pinch, there's no shame in using the available cheats to smooth out the experience for you.
Buy this game on discount. It is absolutely worth it.

Early Access -arvostelu
Tl;dr: Your go-to FPS PvE game with deep progression that never plays the same!

Being a seasoned player of L4D2, Borderlands 2, and TF2's MVM mode in the past, I really recommend DRG as it is a really deep PvE game that encourages team play, no matter if you're a beginner or a veteran, nobody is useless.

Playing alone is possible (with your robot companion Bosco), but playing together is truly where the fun lies. The way these four classes are made, they are synergistic with one another, and every class has their utilities that are all equally valuable to the team in various ways. The game is popular enough that you'll always find a lobby near you.

While there is no story, there is deep progression. As you play more, more customization features can be unlocked, allowing you to customize your favorite dwarf in more than just cosmetic ways.

Once you reach the endgame (by promoting a dwarf), Deep Dives should provide you with formidable challenges with great rewards from Matrix Cores that allow for altering how the weapon works in various ways.

The added modes in the Seasonal patches REALLY step up the PvE, pushing the limits of co-op possibilities. For this reason this game deserves my Labor of Love award. ROCK AND STONE!

Updated 4 May 2019:
Upon the hours I have spent in Dissidia Final Fantasy NT, this is one game that I really want to love, but I just can't. Because, there are problems that I just cannot ignore.

Last time my review stated the lag, but since the recent update, regions are now considered in Ranked Matchmaking, so I'll give them credit for it, though individual lags still bogs down the game. Don't forget about the custom lobbies if you want to match up with people you want. However, there are still problems that make the game reviewed as Mostly Negative. I shall help explain.

There is a major lack of variety in multiplayer.
The Free Version doesn't allow players to own any character in any way unless you spend money. A lot of players are definitely free players, so the matchmaking will be saturated with rotation characters, if not filled with bots. Seeing as we all want matches Youtubers like Trueblade Seeker has in his games, please let us free players own a single non-DLC character for free, so we can actually rank up with that one character we own, or spend money to expand the roster. Being forced to wander with no sense of safety steers us away from loving this game!

Unclear Regions / Player Count
For now, while regions have fix a ton of possible lag problems, there is the lack of players to match with. Especially here in the Asian side, I have personally tested more around 25 solo ranked matches and found 7 matches with one to three more players. The rest are matches with and against bots (5 bots). I suggest increasing the range of possible matches so that in the very least, Asian players can play with Japanese players.

Free Players are not informed that loot boxes for cosmetics exist, or do they exist at all?
Loot boxes exist in DFFNT in the form of "Treasure", and two Treasures are obtained with each Player Level (P.LV). however, free players do not get one at all, and especially, not informed that it exists at all. This is a critical problem, because of the huge amount of upfront paid cosmetics and characters, anyone would believe loot boxes don't exist at all, or does it really? As some reviews have stated you can buy cosmetics with in-game currency in PS4, but what about here? The store page doesn't tell you. The in-game doesn't tell you too.

Proof: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ATRv2Sjtfe4

Because of all these problems, I currently can't recommend this game. I just can't. I love DFF, but not the way it is now. Even with the newest update, it desperately needs more incentives to play and love this game. Currently, if you expect the game to play like what you saw in DFFNT videos, you'll be sorely disappointed. I will still buy this game, however, because I have a passion for the DFF series.

You want a racing game that focuses on rally?
You want a hardcore Rally Sim with no gimmicks?

Then look no further. DiRT Rally is a step back to the Colin Mcrae series's roots, a true Rally Sim of the current generation and a vast improvement over Dirt 3's rally. Rallying has never felt better. :)

Sporting a much cleaner, simpler UI design with no excessive sponsorship in your face.
No rewinds. Damage matters. A very real experience of rallying. (You can still restart)
Unlockables with a currency you get by simply playing. Cars from the 60s to the current era.
One-shot Daily rally events with online leaderboards and currency rewards.
Rallycross and Hillclimb events.
Various weather and time conditions of every stage.
And despite being a simulator, it's still very playable with a controller / keyboard.

Wait for sales, this game has a good price on discounts. ^^

What is this game? What do I expect?

Valkyria Chronicles is a Turn-based Strategy / Third Person Shooter hybrid that plays and feels like a Fire Emblem game with its own twist. Where Fire Emblem has melee, ranged, and magic weapons, this game has various infantry types and tanks in a war setting. You lead a squad in this game, with the main character being a tank commander in an engaging story. Main hero is Welkin. Main heroine is Alicia. Varrot, Largo, Rosie, and Isara are your supporting cast with a few additions down the line. The rest of your squad members have no unique interactions of their own except for the ones who they like, and only while supporting fire / calling for medic.

Game Mechanics?

Short story: Very deep, but pretty easy to understand with experience.

What do I expect mechanics wise?
  • The less turns you spend on a map, the higher the evaluation up to A.
  • You cannot repeat a battle (except Skirmish and DLC) until New Game+
  • Your unit can move around the battlefield freely until the AP meter runs out.
  • You can headshot the standing enemy for a massive damage boost.
  • Crouching on cover makes the unit immune to headshots and increases defense. Destroying the sandbag in which they crouch on can force them out of crouching.
  • Proning on patches of grass makes you hard to spot and provides the Crouching benefits too. Explosives force them out of proning.
  • Accuracy is based on alphabetical rating. Expect to miss a lot of shots early on.
  • There is a chance to dodge incoming attacks (Prone). This cannot happen when attacking from behind.
  • Instead of only act-once-per-unit, you can act as many times as you want with some limitations.
  • When on the move, the unit runs the risk of interception fire from the opposing Scouts / Stormtroopers / Engineer / Tank if you get in range of bullet fire. But the moment you start aiming, the firing will stop. If the opposing unit attacks your Scouts / Stormtrooper / Engineer in range, you will fire back.
  • You can only occupy the base if there are no enemies nearby the flag. Same goes for the enemy.
  • When tank is deployed, you can issue orders that can change the tide of battle in your favor and help out in a pinch.
Is there Permadeath?
Yes. However in most cases, infantry units will be downed first, and will die permanently if not rescued after 3 turns, or run over by something big. By simply having a teammate run to that downed unit, you save the unit and can appear on the reserves on the next player phase (At least 2 turns to get that unit back on the field). Completing the mission before they die permanently will save them too.My Herbert died in the Barious Ruins battle thanks to that tank that ran over him while he's downed...

Classes & Weapons?

  • Classes include Scouts, Stormtroopers, Lancers, Engineers, and Snipers.
  • Scouts have high AP, can spot enemies from afar, but average weapon that works at mid ranges.
  • Stormtroopers have average AP and low range, but has amazing Anti-personnel power.
  • Lancers are made to kill tanks. If Elite, you can switch to a mortar for anti-personnel.
  • Engineers have good AP, and is made for utility. Can disarm mines, repair sandbags, and repair tanks. I have not seen a single enemy Engineer.
  • Snipers have very low AP but can kill enemies from long range. Beware enemy snipers though.
  • Weapons have infinite uses except for the Anti-tank Lances, Sniper Rifles, Grenades, and Mortars.
  • All finite ammo weapons will be replenished by 1 every turn. Tagging a teammate as Engineer will replenish all their ammo.
  • Each of your units have unique strengths and weaknesses.
  • Leveling up your infantry units is based on tallied EXP and spent on training a class.
  • Upon reaching level 11, your chosen class promotes to Elite. This gains them extra AP and unlocks a Grenade Launcher (does not explode on impact) for Scouts, which shares ammo with Grenade, and a Flamethrower for Stormtroopers. Personally Stormtrooper is 1st priority because Flamethrower is VERY useful to kill crouching enemies, turrets, and bunkers.
  • Leveling up units will progressively unlock new orders. Visiting the War Cemetery allows you to spend some tallied EXP for new orders as well. Be sure to visit there first.
  • Weapons, Armor, and tanks are upgraded in the R&D Facility, where you spend currency gained from battles to upgrade their weapons, make them more bulky, and make the tanks stronger. More upgrades are unlocked with progression.
  • After unlocking it, the Audience Hall presents you with medals and preset weapons. The preset weapons will be useful when you get them late game.
Storyline

Welkin, part Nature Lover, and part tank commander, comes to Bruhl to examine the fishes. He meets Alicia, the town's militia and a bakery girl, in a not-so-pleasant way, as the Empire invades Bruhl. As Alicia defends the evacuating civilians and nearly failing, Welkin comes just in time with his tank, with Isara, and escapes Bruhl safely. Soon after, the two signs up as a Gallian militia, and Welkin is to lead Militia Squad 7 as a Liutenant, and Alicia as its Sergeant. The Squad 7 will fight for Gallia in the west from an invasion of the Empire from the east. At first, the squad seems shaky, but as you progress, your squad becomes more and more like a family. You will be deployed on various battles against the Empire and face challenges along the way.

What do you think of the game?

The game is deep, has good pacing, is not too casual nor too hardcore (and sometimes even cheesy), and you truly feel closer and closer to your teammates. If you love Fire Emblem, I recommend picking this up if you want something fresh. The game runs very smoothly with only slight glitches in facial expression. 30 FPS cutscenes, 60 FPS gameplay with budget gaming PC. Not as good as Fire Emblem in terms of interactions though. 9 / 10. Buy this on sale.
