One of the most beautiful games in recent memory. Not (only) by aesthetics but in depth. Both in the characters and in the game-play. As soon as I finished the game for the first time I started another... And then another. And each felt completely different to the previous one. Any game that makes you feel like this is truly special

A continuation to one of the best mystery games out there, a true detective game. It doesn't let you just throw stuff around to try to solve the puzzle. But you don't actually need to do that like many other point & click games. It's really well thought out, with an intriguing mystery that involves every little part of the game. Add to it the charming visual design and you get a short yet surprisingly memorable experience.

This game can be described as "Oh... it makes sense now". It a great mystery with a lot of moving parts slowly giving you pieces of the puzzle and by the end you have a complex yet beatiful story filled with very different and charming characters. Although its supposed to be "horror" and it has some jump scares, the most memorable parts for me ended up being the goofy conversations that the characters had and the over the top reactions that some of them have in the story.
The gameplay its self it like most visual novels, mainly reading but the encounters with the different curses ended feeling more like Stand battles (from Jojo's bizarre adventure) than anything. Having to understand the conditions for each one to activate and find a way to activate yours felt thrilling to do and the game having different ending depending on what you do in this "fight" makes you feel like every choice is a valid one.
Overall it was a really entertaining game and its kinda short, I finished it in 14 hours but that's because I tried to get all the achivements, it's a perfect game to finish in a weekend, worth the price honestly. Hope to see more game like this from Square Enix.

Great entry in the SMT franchise. It shines brighting when it comes to their characters, if you do most of the sidequest and their little hangouts events you are really gonna be missing the main cast by the time de credits role. The story is quite decent too, it quept me invested right to the very end. The places where this game is kinda mediocre is in the OST and the dungeons. The OST tends to be the highlight of other entries but in this it left a lot to be desired (good thing is you can play other games' battle music if you bought the costume DLCs). And when it comes to the dungeons it's not particularly bad but it feels cheap, you get 2 tower buildings, 2 warehouse district maps and 3 underground train complexes, a lot of re used assets. At least you get a completly new layout for the dlc and final dungeon. SMT is mainly a dungeon crawler so a lot of the oldest games used to have very samey dungeons so it's not that terrible but a little more variety is never bad...
Overall I really enjoyed the experience, the lovable characters makes up for it so I'm gonna be getting that 100% achivement soon, I really recommend playing it even if it has it's flaws.

PD: The opening is such a banger!!!

It's a great game, true successor to the Zero Escape Series, it brings back the great parallel stories, the great chracters, the plot twist and the silly humour. If you liked those games you're are gonna love this one. Be warned if you are not so into japanese humour it may not prove as enjoyable.

The pinnacle of RPGs, the freedom that you get and all the choices you can make makes this a great game for replaying. Every new playthough is a new experience and with the mod support you can make it unique. It's a long trip but a great one, so enjoy the ride
