Project Zomboid is hands-down the most immersive survival game I’ve ever played—deep crafting, endless replayability, and a great sense of atmosphere throughout! A must-play for any survival fan.

I've played around 70 hours since early access, and coming back now, I can definitely see some improvements. Performance is better, and small quality-of-life additions like item boxes are a nice touch. However, player movement still feels clunky—especially when strafing. It’s not terrible, but it definitely needs more work.

One of the more frustrating things is how the AI behaves in dense foliage. In many situations, they seem to spot and shoot at you through thick bushes or trees where visibility should be limited. You can’t see them at all, but they often land accurate shots or at least fire near your position as if they know exactly where you are. It breaks immersion and makes encounters feel unfair, especially when you’re trying to play tactically.

On top of that, the AI sometimes one-shots you in the head with extreme accuracy, even in early zones. And even if you’re wearing tier 3 or better gear, your helmet can be destroyed in just two hits, and your chest armour barely lasts three or four. For basic enemies with low-tier ammo, that kind of damage feels unbalanced.

The game's potential is undeniable, but until the AI feels more fair and less omniscient, it's hard to fully enjoy the tactical depth it's clearly built for.

The entire day on queue, picked the least populated server and still can't get online, got error few times, therefore I had to re-queue. Very disappointing!!
