It's like filling an entire pizza with every single topping possible. It's horrendous and unpolished.

People play games; they play it with such passion. Why do we play games? I probably have only a cut of the sense, but I play them to have fun; I play them to compensate for my terrible lack of success in reality: at least I could seem competent in the fantastical world created by these games.

To a program-level basis, this game is terribly optimized, spending as much as a whole gigabyte of memory for who-knows-what. The servers seem particularly laggy, even for an MMORPG; be prepared to blame some loss of success to that...

However, what bothers me the most is what follows:

Everything in this game is driven by micro-transactions and connections. If you go in blind without a guide or some cash, you'll be trudging along the bottom-of-barrel content of the game for quite some time. Assuming you do have some guidance or you, just maybe, legitimately reached the top you begin to realize something about the game... There are these extremely jam-packed messy missions that just throw everything they have at you, making you waste an incredible amount of revives as the days pass by. Yet, we remain frugal, knowing that each of these revives we lose, we have just lost a few cents of our time or money. All that frustration knowing that, or the tenacity you have to practice to keep your calm under the sort of lag and buffer speeds you have to experience...

One day, I just stopped to think... Why do we play games again? I certainly didn't play games to get frustrated over proving myself to be a competent player in a certain environment, or throw in time or money to accomplish more of the former... All to impress who? What am I going through all this frustration for? Then I realized: this is hardly a game to be played at all.

From why I play games, this game is an atrocity. I felt so angry after such a realization that I uninstalled the game, wished I didn't even have that account or those crowns in it, wished I didn't even start that wretched game, wondered how I was even blind enough to get as far as I did without realizing this, hid it from my library, and after much thought: decided to give the game this senseless tirade of a review.

Don't want to bother reading this review? Fine: don't play the game; it goes against why I play games in the first place.

Piss, shoot, forget about your mission, piss more, mutilate, rinse, repeat.

Feeling frustrated? Wish you could just kill something in the bloodiest manner possible? Well, this game brings that right to you on a bloody platter.

Of course, I've tried doing something similar, like putting GibMod on Garry's Mod, but it just isn't the same with the sort of horrific tension this game brings as well. That being said, the environment on this game is tops. When you're stuck in the corridors of a tightly packed map on a high difficulty, there's nothing more fearful than the zeds this game throws.

The amounts of weapons you can choose from is stunning, but the classes seem... unbalanced. It has always bothered me that one of my favorite classes, Commando, has absolutely no on-perk way of killing a high-rank zed effectively. It's become a joke that Commando isn't even a class to some.

Overall, though, there's plenty of good content to make you forget the inbalance was even there.

I've always been a big fan of The Sims line of games. Yet, I've always felt incomplete knowing why we all enjoy this kind of game; it's literally real life in a more hyperbolic perspective!

I guess that doesn't really matter though... I love the character creation, as usual; nothing makes me happier than a beautiful character in any game. With or without the add-ons, the game is quite fresh for a long time, even on my standards (10 cents per hour). Also, being an architect is super-fun.

When I first started playing this game when it first came out, I found myself quitting on it very easily.
BUT, I figured out why: there's too many damn quests! I guess that does give you more to do when you do get back to it though.

When you run out of those quests, though... you'll be relying on the nexus or the workshop for things to do... or you'll be like me and stare at my character for a few minutes before coming to a realization that I have nothing left to do in the game.

Oh right, a review... It has really good graphics and a great sense of making you a demi-god-like.

I had fun, I still have fun.

I always wish I could play a game with a plethora of enemies and I could shoot them all down with guns I don't have to worry about ammo for. Alas, I suck at first person shooters and can never get a game with a good amount of enemies...

That's where Borderlands 1 and 2 came in: extremely customizable skills to kill your enemies one way or another, putting in insane guns, shields and grenades into the mix. Only the second plugin may be named Campaign of Carnage, but the word "Carnage" belongs to the whole game.

Early Access Review
Project Zomboid has pretty realistic zombie-apocolyptic feelings.
7 Days to Die has superior construction and crafting.
Unturned has SO MANY WEAPONS AND, FINALLY: VEHICLES.
